Old Town Charles Apartments

Majoitus olisi voinut olla viileällä säällä ihan hyvä, mikäli ei tarvitsisi keittiötä vaan käyttäisi paikkaa lähinnä nukkumiseen. Sijainti oli keskeinen, hyvin lähellä kaupungin pääaukiota.

- Asunnossa ei ollut ilmastointia, vaikka olimme niin nettisivuilta ymmärtäneet. Ilmeisesti olimme ymmärtäneet väärin, mutta mielestämme nettisivut olivat silti harhaan johtavat tässä asiassa. Ulkona oli 30 astetta lämmintä ja asunnossa oli todella kuuma, aurinko paahtoi verhottomista kattoikkunoista. Yöllä oli pakko pitää ikkunoita auki saadakseen viileää ilmaa, mutta ulkoa taas tuli alakerran baarista aamuyölle asti meteliä, jonka takia ei pystynyt nukkumaan. Nukuimme todella huonosti! Olimme maksaneet asunnon viideksi yöksi, mutta olimme siellä kuumuuden takia vain yhden yön, jonka jälkeen vaihdoimme paikkaa, joten jouduimme maksamaan kahdesta paikasta samanaikaisesti. Kalliiksi tuli! - Asunnossa ei myöskään ollut minkäänlaista keittiötä, ainoastaan todella pieni jääkaappi ja vedenkeitin sekä astioita. Asunnon ainoa vesipiste oli kylpyhuoneessa, joten tiskatakseen piti ottaa sieltä vettä pesuvateihin, hankalaa! Muutenkin ison porukan kanssa oli hankalaa, kun edes wc:ssä ei ollut lavuaaria, ainoastaan kylpyhuoneessa. -TV ei toiminut. - Sijainti oli kyllä keskellä vanhaa kaupunkia ja keskusaukion lähellä, mutta tutustuttuamme kaupunkiin totesimme, että tuo puoli kaupunkia ei ollut paras, vaan paljon kivempi ja eläväisempi puoli oli juuri toisella puolella pääaukiota ja itse asiassa tämän asunnon sijainti ei todellakaan ollut paras mahdollinen.

Location was perfect. It was easy to see the town on foot and all the restaurants and services were neaby. It was not too difficult to find parking though. We enjoyed our stay in this place very much. The apartment was spacious for our 7 person group.

The apartment was great in every other way, but the dining table is only for 4 persons and we had 7. So if you'd like to eat something together, It was not possible. The apartment don't really have very much a kitchen at all, so maybe the idea is to eat at the restaurant.

The apartment is comfortable for three or more people. The location is great as it is next to the square of the town.

We had a check-in problem at the beginning. Could not contact the owner to get the key. The instruction email did not go through due to wrong email or whatever. It was frustrated at the beginning but OK once we got connected with the owner. The apartment we booked was checked in by another guest a couple hours before we arrived, and the owner had to move them to their apartment for us to check in. This issue was likely due a misunderstanding/communication between the guest and owner. The code of the key box to return/get the key did not work. We had to contact the owner to open the door to get return the key when checking out. The owner is nice and responsive once getting connection with.
