Close to train station and town

The only thing we didn’t like is we were instructed to wait until soneone that lived in the building would open the door and let us into the building to gain access to rental, late at night in the dark

View was very nice, 10 minutes walk to the cathedral, restaurants and other interesting places

Apartment didn’t have a washer machine as is described in the information provided on the reservation

This was a very good place to stay with a good location and an impressive view!

A bit cold but it was okay at the end

Extremely clean and well-kept apartment. Great view of the city. Easy walking to restaurants and shopping. Appreciated that there was a car park below the apartment.

Apartment does not have AC. There was a fan, which was helpful since we happened to travel during a heat wave.

Perfect location near the old town

This comment is not having a go at the room, but it was very hot while we were there.

The location of the flat is great, close to the train station and on the edge of Altstadt. The balcony is fantastic and offers a lovely seat with a view for a breakfast coffee or evening wine. The room is a great size, and you'd be very lucky to find a hotel room this size for this price.

The bed is one of the worst I have ever tried to sleep on. It's old, slanted and I barely got a few hours sleep. The pillows are also huge and lumpy, I was incredibly uncomfortable. All the fixtures and fittings are cheap and low quality, the bedding felt horrible.

Apartment gorgeous views exceptional

Bit confusing getting in and parking at first to unload and sort out secure parking but host super responsive and helpful, we couldn't pick up WiFi but that may have been our phones 🤣

The photos & description provided on the website are an accurate depiction. The apartment is situated within a comfortable walking distance of the ‘old town’ sights. It is north-facing (no direct hot summer sun in the afternoon) & is situated on the 15th floor of an apartment complex & has an open-air balcony with the most amazing view across the ‘old town’ that takes in 2 of Mainz’ wonderful churches (+ others) - Mainz Cathedral (Mainzer Dom) & the Church of St Stephan. The balcony has a table & 2 chairs so dining outside is a real treat & the view of the twinkling lights at night an absolute delight! The apartment’s décor was pleasing, it was quiet, spacious, spotlessly clean, light, airy & well-lit at night + well stocked – there is nothing that we wanted that wasn’t already provided. The bed was very comfortable, 2 arm chairs were much appreciated, as too the clothes drying rack & provision of the kitchen table + a side table for us to work separately at our computers without having to move them for the duration of our stay. There is no air-conditioning but a fan is supplied + fresh air comes in via the balcony door. The modern kitchen is fully equipped & there are plenty of power points & a basket of tourist information reading matter + small list of instructions. The high-speed wifi access / reception topping off our list. The apartment is a self-check-in arrangement so unfortunately we didn’t meet our hosts, Peter & Ilona, however both were very responsive & helpful indeed & replied promptly to my couple of queries. We communicated via the booking.com messaging. Check-in was easy thanks to the clear directions we received well prior to our arrival & we had no problem.

Location is excellent and the view is really good. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It is a comfortable and well equipped apartment.

The towels could be better.
