Ferienwohnungen am Großen Garten

Iy had a perfect location. Next to the Großen Garten and Zoo. It is located in a quiet place. Large rooms and a bunch of game stuff (cards and boards) for children and families.

It was downstairs, which I didn't know. The staff told me that booking.com had different pictures for both apartments and I had to look carefully. Some of the pillows next to the couch had very bad smell (like animal pee), and I could see lots of animal hair on the mat. Disgusting... . Spiders every where

Location and district - perfect!

Very clean, beautiful, comfortable! All that I can wish of! The owners are very nice and friendly, they decorated the living room for us as we are having a small birthday celebrations! It was wonderful stay ! Strongly recommended for everyone ! Simple,easy and effective communication!

There was a bit of traffic noise from the small roads and railway.

The apartment is really lovely, nicely furnished, big windows, plenty of light, very clean. Big rooms with high ceilings, so plenty of space. It is on the first floor so there are stairs. There is also a lovely garden at the back, and the house has a lot of character. The location is great, near transportation to the main station (5 min walk}, supermarket (5 min walk), and just behind it is the largest park in the city, through which you can walk to the city centre. Absolutely lovely. The owner was very responsive and quick to reply to my messages. She lives in the building, which is handy in case of emergencies. I would have given a higher score, but for the issues listed below.

The main problem with my stay was the washing machine. The one which was in the apartment was only there for show. It really belonged to a junk shop, totally useless. I was then given the use of another proper washing machine in the basement, but that caused a lot of inconvenience. I was not told how to turn on the heating (which I thought was central) so I spent a pretty cold first night. The shower is powerful, but you have to step into the high bath tub, which is a bit uncomfortable. The door handle to the apartment is really hard to turn, and if the door slams shut and the key is inside you cannot get back in. This caused a huge problem on the day I left.

Great location, easy to access the city on the tram or bus. Clean well equipped flat.

Sofa bed isn't the comfiest, but that's to be expected.
