Bed very uncomfortable, quite basic amenities, apartment very hot and location was very noisy as I had to keep the windows open to try and keep it cool. Noisy cafe downstairs and lots of people walking past all day and night. Also was not made aware of building work happening on the building which woke us up at 7am every day. Not good value.

The location was 200/10. Kalamaja is a beautiful, family-friendly neighbourhood, a stone's throw away from the Old Town and the Central Bus Station. There are playgrounds, lots of cafes and a supermarket close-by. The apartment itself was clean, big and comfortable enough and the hosts at least replied to the concerns I had described below. How satisfying their replies were... well...

1. You have to climb two sets of stairs before you get to the apartment. This is not explicit in the description. An unpleasant surprise since we were travelling with a stroller. We left the stroller in the building entry, there were several others, so it was obviously safe. 2. The windows all had different curtains or blinds. One of them didn't have any cover, so people walking on the street could see us. I had to ask the hosts to put something on the window, which they did. 3. There was not a trash bin in the bathroom, for which I also had to ask. The soap and dishwasher were already used and were the cheapest Lidl brand. 4. There were no nets on the windows to stop mosquitoes coming in. At that point, I decided not to complain about it, because I didn't want to spend my whole vacation communicating with hosts about things that should've been there in the first place. 5. The baby cot we asked for was just thrown on the floor of the bedroom in a bag and we had to open it and arrange it ourselves. For 5 euro per night (who makes you pay for a baby cot?!?), I'd expect to have it ready. 6. What angried me the most, however, was the fact that there was construction work ON THE BUILDING literally ON OUR BEDROOM WINDOWS. We were not warned beforehand and if I knew, I definitely would have looked for another place. Have in mind, there are no quiet hours in the afternoon in Estonia, so we had to suffer through the noise when our kid was supposed to nap. When I complained, the hosts said that they do have no control over this. Once again, they could've warned us and at least apologised or offer some compliment for the disturbances. They didn't. They did, however, needed a 100 euro deposit before we arrived and a fee to check in a 2 pm rather than 4. All in all, a nice property, but don't expect the hosts to care about your experience once they get your money. I'd really expect more from a professionally managed place.

Very good location - I had no idea such a beautiful, calm place can exist so close to the center of a city.

flat accoustics - because of no carpets and a lot of hard finishes we can hear every sound from outside and inside.

Location is excellent, very near to the city center. Parking lot is very near to the entrance.

It is very unusual to require a deposit (100€) for a property on booking.com. Although it is said in the conditions, it is easy to miss that fact. To be fair, the money was refunded on the day of check-out. Secondly, requiring to sign the agreement. Before booking you don't see the agreement. If you don't have cancellation period (booking less than a week before), no idea what would happen to the cost paid up-front if you don't agree with the terms. Thirdly, some curtains were missing in the living room. So it was too much light for the person sleeping on the couch. Finally, we were 2 adults and 2 children. There was only 3 sets of bed linens.

I liked location and space. This is all I could tell.

There were in all windows different curtains and some did not even had night ones. Biggest issue is that the work station table was with broken legs which almost fall on the baby. Very basic apartment without wine glass and etc. Would not recommend. Definitely not worth the current rating.

The location was great. Breakfast was not included & the toaster supplied never worked.

The temperate in the room was a little high for us & although we were advised how to adjust it, this was not easy.
