Old Town - Lai Apartment

The apartment is very centrally located and unlike many properties in the Old Town, can be reached by a car or a taxi. The interior is quite exciting and makes good use of the attic space.

The first floor is a bit too big and could use a bit more furniture for a cozy feeling.

We stayed in this apartment as a group. On the positive side — the location is very good, with easy access to the main attractions and public transportation. Unfortunately, there were quite a few downsides: • Value for money — 2 out of 10. For the price, we expected a higher standard. • The bathroom door lock is broken — it only opens from the inside occasionally, which was inconvenient. • The towels were small and insufficient for all guests. • The sofa, which is listed as an additional sleeping space, did not have any bed linen provided. • The apartment is advertised for up to 7 people, but there is only one bathroom with a toilet, which is not ideal for a larger group. • There is no proper ventilation and not all windows can be opened. It was especially stuffy and uncomfortable to sleep in the attic bedroom. Overall, based on our experience, we do not recommend this apartment. But if you still decide to book it for a group of up to 7 people, as advertised — just remember this review when you find yourself waiting in line for the bathroom or just to brush your teeth.

It’s amazing historical significance and perfect location. The sauna. Comfortable beds. The amazing marble staircase from the front door. The family room with a double bed and two singles.

I’m a senior but I did manage the incredible 50 marble and timber steps to the apartment. The smaller double bed room is in a loft above the lounge room with no door or ventilation. You can’t open windows in the main living area. It’s gets hot in that third floor apartment. The bathroom door lock was broken as was the coffee plunger. There is not a lot of care in the small things.

The accommodation was very cold, and the pictures on booking.com were confusing, as they didn't just show our booked accommodation. There was a lot of pet hair on the couch, making it very unhygienic. Dusty, and the furniture was no longer in perfect condition. The bathroom was very dark, and some of the lights didn't work at all. Very impersonal.
