For those willing to run away from the touristic areas, this is an execellent option. The apartment stands in a tower in a residential area, close to the Universitary City and with a commercial area at walking distance. The building and the neighbouring ones bound a nice semi-private square. The 13th floor allowed a delightful view of Madrid. Though I did not use it, there is a nice swimming pool at the roof plant (25th). The apartment area is generous and suitable for a family, though I travelled alone.

A few details should be improved, even if they are of not of utmost relevance: -The freezer was full of ice, which is not adequate both from the serviceability and hygienic points of view; -The air conditioned engine was working, but it was not cooling down (I'm not fully sure of this, just stayed in the flat for the night); - A WC shelf is a bit rusty and needs replacement; - Getting a receipt required some persistence.

Bettet bed duvets and pillows would improve the experience. They were of a questionable state.

The flat had not been cleaned before our arrival, there was dust and dirt on the floor, in the wardrobe and other surfaces. It was smelling of fried potatoes inside, there were stains on the sofa, the walls, the dining table was shaking as soon as touched and the handle of the bathroom door was half-way out. Very poor maintenance and at all corresponding to the high price demanded. On top of that, the corridor leading to the flat was smelling of cigarettes all the time throughout our stay. I would not recommend.
