Amazing place to stay, right next to the Nile River, with a such beautiful view and the staff is very friendly.

Il sig. Awi è una persona squisita, colazione tipica Egiziana molto buona. La casa è tipica nubiana con tutto l'occorrente. Casa, lenzuola e asciugamani pulite. Vista spettacolare sul Nilo dalle camere.

Il cuscino era scomodo.

L'emplacement sur l'île éléphantine, la vue sur le Nil, le petit déjeuner copieux sur la terrasse. L'excursion en bateau avec Àwi.

Tout bon pour moi

The owners were lovely, the location was right on the water, relaxing and calm. We arrived at 2am after flight delays and the owner picked us up in his boat and brought us across to the island and then walked with us to show us the local store before arranging a late breakfast for us the next day so we could sleep in. We stayed for two nights and on our final day, just before checkout our cruise cancelled leaving us stranded. He made some calls and arranged a driver and car to take us to Kom Ombo and Edfu at a very reasonable price. I would have happily stayed extra nights if we had the time. Very relaxing and peaceful ☺️

A light cover or blanket would be good. There was a top sheet and a very heavy and thick warm blanket, something light in between would be lovely.

Awi vino a buscarme con su barca a la otra orilla, la este, para llevarme a Elephantina Island, el paraiso de la tranquilidad, uns isla sin coches. Tambien me llevo a las 3:30 am, en barca hasta el autobus, que el contrató, el dia que visite Abu Simbel y el día de la marcha. Alli disponía de una habitación con baño propio y acceso independiente. Los desayunos eran buenísimos, y como no me gusta el queso me ponían patatas fritas caseras. La habitacion era espaciosa y limpia y se accedía desde la terraza sobre el nilo, en el que me bañé en varias ocasiones. A pocos metros varios restaurantes excelentes con comida nubia, el mejor King Jamaica, donde cené Tajine de camello, exquisito. Las conversaciones con Awi, en la terraza de la casa frente al rio, super interesantes. Aprendí mucho del Alto Egipto, y sobretodo del pueblo nubio, el autoctóctono de la zona y dominante en la isla. No podía haber elegido mejor ubicación, ni recibido mejor trato de Awi y su mujer. Muchas gracias.

Beatiful location, spacious, new and clean room with a great view. Good breakfast. Awi was kind and supportive, picking and dropping us to Aswan upon arrival and departure.

Some noise coming over from the other side of the river at night, but would come back anyway.

Nice location. Friendly host. In general well maintained. Breakfast OK.

Kitchen facilities aren't suitable for cooking. Lots of noises from other side of the river.,

Pretty location, comfy bed, nice size room, nice views.

No stove top, no minibar, no bath, no restaurant, no boat sent and waited for an hour before being told to get on the local ferry which meant dragging our cases through unpaved streets. Only 1 tiny mirror high up in bathroom. Towels were small hand towels.
