The property is extremely well appointed next to the river, very close to the old town and within easy walking distance of all amenities and attractions. The apartment itself is modern, clean and well furnished with all amenities, and the beds are very comfortable. It's located in a building that seems to be mainly small business offices so it's also very quiet outside of business hours (it seemed we were the only people in the building) which we appreciated. The kitchen lacks some smaller items (only a couple of pans and nothing to dry dishes with etc.) but is otherwise well equipped. The best feature though is easily the apartment's terrace, which looks out on to an area of the city walls and is really rather special.

Unfortunately, the check-in arrangements (including a request for a bank transfer for city tax and passport scans before details of the keys would be given) were only sent to us via WhatsApp whilst we were in transit on the day of arrival - these are painful things to have to do on mobile devices with limited battery life (and may not be possible for some) and should have been requested well in advance in the absence of in-person check-in. The property are very responsive to phone calls so we sorted it out but it took quite a few calls to do. Hopefully the property will change its policy on this.

We loved the location of the property - close to lovely shops and attractions. The terrace was amazing and had a great view. We loved having two bedrooms and lots of space to hang out after our kid was in bed.

Excellent location, nice layout

No utensils or cooking supplies and spices. Towels were floor mats for 5 people for 2 weeks and no shampoo or conditioner or dish soap. Supplies were not included. Door had 3 entry points, which was cumbersome and next to lawyers office.

The apartment is in a great location, with a nice terrace and views of the city walls, which are just outside. It is ideal for two people: the second bedroom is small and not suitable for two adults except for a very short stay. Restaurants and shops within a very easy walking distance. The main train station is about fifteen minutes walk away. There is no parking with the property but we used the Saba Santa Caterina car park which is a couple of minutes away on foot and which is quite cheap if you book online for a multi day pass. One big plus point is that the flat is in a block where all the other spaces are occupied by offices. There is noise by day but out of office hours it is very quiet. Very good quality kitchen appliances and the washing machine and tumble drier a bonus for the longer stay.

Lack of storage space for clothes. The wardrobe and all but one drawer were full of spare bedding, and although there are some hooks and a clothes rail, it’s not enough for a longer stay and we spread stuff out on the bunk beds in the second bedroom. The kitchen is quite lightly equipped. There are plenty of plates, bowls, mugs and glasses for two people, and we found more cutlery in the top drawer of the dishwasher. When we stayed there was one very large saucepan, ideal for pasta, and one medium sized frying pan (a large frying pan had a peeling non stick surface). Only one toilet roll for a ten night booking. The sheet on the main bed wasn’t quite big enough. But these are all relatively minor points which did not detract from our enjoyment of the apartment and our stay in Girona.

Position in the city center, modern accommodation

The kitchen is big but almost empty, very few and old pans. You need to buy everything including salt, sugar, coffee, oil etc. When renting an apartment for a few days one is expecting something more.
