Giralda Sevilla Apartment

Pool extremely dirty, filthy and full of hair,thus unusable for the guests

Location was first class..couldn't have been better.

The washing machine is not working. The restaurant on the street level is noisy until late at night. The sheets for the sofa bed are not clean.

The view from the pool was unmatchable and the feeling of having your own apartment right in the heart of the lively city center is amazing!! I was SO happy with this apartment. Of course, it does cost quite a lot, but during the time of our stay other regular hotels (even Ibis Style..) aren’t that much cheaper. Everything is great: shower is amazing, apartment is quite big with all you need in the kitchen, three little balconies where we had our own breakfast with a view on some nice restaurants, even a washing machine.. We also loved the business of the center, it did not bother us at all, but we did indeed go to bed well after 11pm. You just hear the chit-chatter, but I think that’s really nice. Also, I was afraid the pool would be too small, but it’s more than great!! About 1m high and you can actually swim a bit, while waving to people in the Giralda. LOVED it! During our stay it was 30 degrees, so great to cool off and lay in the sun. It was cold, but doable. & The pool was clean. Also, we just met three other people on the roof, in both days we stayed, so it felt almost private and you definitely had plenty of room to chill! Also, the check in went smooth for us: I downloaded the app we needed to open the front door, but when we came it was open, so didn’t need it. Then we just used the code to get into the apartment. For our stay we could just use the keys. & Convenient that there is an elevator, even if it’s just on the second floor :) To the pool you do need to go one extra flight of stairs though.

Not really relevant, but we couldn’t find laundry detergent, and also there is just one working beach umbrella on the rooftop. Luckily there is shade in the late afternoon on a part of the roof, so it wasn’t really a problem :) & Maybe to some people the bed is quite small, but I was totally happy with it.

The location, the balcony, the terrace. The apartment looks better than on pictures. We met the owners, who were more than nice, very welcoming and heart-friendly people. The apartment had everything we needed.

The noise during the nights. Windows are not soundproof, so it was very difficult to find some relaxing sleep at night. The bed is very small and the mattress should be replaced as it is very uncomfortable.

Location is great but many issues with this apartment.

- Host was never available - Challenge to open door with app - NO TV for entire stay - Very slippery shower floor - Wi-fi worked on day 3 - No hot water on last two days - Wall outlets most of them don't convert with international converters - We had to go shower somewhere else - Sleeping pillows (2) are over 10 years old - Only two bath towels for entire stay - No welcome treats such as water, snacks - No sponge to wash dishes - Other guest were broken into their apartment and were robbed - Loud noise from all restaurants downstairs - Pool is filthy dirty - Couldn't use pool at all - Rooftop has lots of old wood and nails on floor - Not safe to be at pool with children - We made all these complaints, and nothing was ever done

The view from the terrace is indeed interesting.

Caveat, you have a high chance of being robbed at this property! We were! Our vacation here was destroyed because we have been robbed of 700 euros cash. Someone entered the apartment in our absence a day before our departure and subtracted our cash. The host was arrogant and unsupportive and didn't even bother to check the cameras that are installed inside the building to check what happened. The phone numbers listed on Booking are not working (they are not allocated), so we couldn't reach them by phone. This location is not safe; if you leave your luggage in the middle of the street or inside this apartment, it is the same thing. Entering the property was another issue. The app didn't work, but luckily, someone entered the building and allowed us in. The apartment's location is very good, but it also generates continuous noise from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. the next day, as there are bars and restaurants all around, and the building is not insulated at all. It seems that all restaurant clients are parting in this apartment. The rooftop pool was dirty and unusable. The host is quick to ask for supplementary money if you check out late and ask for good reviews, but it is a disaster if you need help. So, stay away! Avoid this property at all costs. If you want a nice vacation, here, your chances are slim.

Location is fabulous, right in the heart of the city centre, so so easy to get to all the visitor attractions. Also loved the roof terrace with dipping pool and views of the Giralda Tower. I was prepared for the apartment to be quite noisy due to location and previous reviews, so I brought ear-plugs, which I used for the first night and slept soundly, after that I didn´t use them and still slept very well despite being quite a light sleeper. If you go to bed before 11pm then street noise may be an issue for you otherwise its fine.

Getting into the apartment at first was a bit complicated, having to downloads an app etc. There were no instructions on how to use the air conditioning or boiler.
