Jero - Basque Stay

Eigentlich eine schöne und große und super gut gelegene Wohnung in einer tollen Stadt. Man ist direkt in der Altstadt und auch superschnell sowohl im Stadtleben als auch am Strand. Dafür ist bei geschlossenem Fenster auch die Lautstärke von draußen vollkommen okay. Dazu kommt noch eine moderne Küche. Das Besteck findet man auch, wenn man am Tisch die Besteckschublade sucht ;-)

Leider gibt es viele kleine Makel, die dann das Bild der tollen Wohnung etwas trüben, wo leider etwas Pflege fehlt. - der Umweg zum Abholen des Schlüssels ist total unnötig und könnte deutlich einfacher gelöst werden. Bei Abreise kann der Schlüssel wenigstens in der Wohnung verbleiben - 2 vorherige Kontaktaufnahmen (einmal zu Zahlungskonditionen, einmal zum früheren Checkin) blieben unbeantwortet - die Matratze in einem Zimmer war komplett durchgelegen und hat sehr stark geknarrt und war damit nicht benutzbar - das Wäsche aufhängen durch die mit Gitter verschlossenen Fenster gleicht einer Kunst. Ein Wäscheständer würde schon helfen - diverse kleine defekte im Bad (Duschwand schließt nicht richtig, Duschbrause hält nicht, Toilettenpapierhalter fehlt) - 2 von 3 Ventilatoren waren defekt - leider hatten auch wir am letzten Abend eine kurze Kakerlakenbegegnung an einem Deckenbalken im Wohnzimmer

Super clean and spacious. The location was perfect for the old town and beach. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Greate Spaces!

The front room with the noise of the bar in front until 6am was impossible to sleep fo us (for our kids was like white noise, no problem there) but we just switch to the back room and problem solved

The property was huge, had 3 big bedrooms and clean toilet and sufficient kitchen with appliances. Washing machine for your clothes etc. we were only 2 people but this place accommodates for 6 persons

I liked everything, the street and surrounding street full of pintxos bars so maybe noisy at night but not really

Rather dark in the living room but 2 main bedrooms were large and lighter and had seating.

The location was in the most picturesque part of town within easy walking distance of the great local bars and restaurants. The apt was in an old building and yet well modernised inside, whilst retaining character. All the apt's facilities were top end and we wanted for nothing.

The key pick up lock box was in a different location to the apartment. The walk between was quite long with bags etc. I think it would be helpful to know this in advance. We could then have asked our taxi to hang on whilst we collected the keys and then continued in the taxi to the apt. The reason that I could not give the apt full marks is that it was great to be in the centre but the drawback to that is that the streets were very noisy v late into the night. We kept the roller shutters pulled down and the double-glazed windows shut but the noise of lively crowds still woke us frequently up to 4 am at night. Maybe our timing there for the first week of advent was more lively than usual, but I think San Sebastian old town is always a 'party' area. The third bedroom was not on the street front of the building and so was much quieter.
