Decent location

No extra garbage bags, expensive parking, does not look like the pictures, uncomfortable beds, air conditioning not very powerful.

The accommodation was in the perfect location for us. We know the area well as our daughter lives a few streets over. It's close to the metro that takes you to the city centre and all the main shops in just 3 stops, as well as only a 10mins walk to the main Atocha train station. There are plenty of bars, supermarkets and places to eat nearby and parks too, including Madrid Rio. The apartment has plenty of space. It was clean and tidy and we loved having the coffee machine and the option to make a meal if we wanted to.

The only complaint we had was the bed, and it is the only reason that would stop us from staying again. After all, if you can't sleep, you can't be as awake to enjoy the beautiful city. It was rock solid and very used, particularly on one side, which made it very uncomfortable. A simple change of mattress and we'd be back tomorrow without doubt, as everything else was great!

The Pharmacy ten minutes up the road were very efficient in handing over the keys, but it was a nuisance to have to walk up there when we arrived with our luggage. Fortunately there were two of us so one could babysit the bags while the other got the keys.

Fran and Martha were very nice, friendly, and easy to communicate via WhatsApp; they are great hosts; the apartment had everything we needed; and the location was excellent.

The apartment could have been cleaner; stains on the walls; all the towels had stains; the bed had a weird shape (sacked in the middle); I found out that I had to pick up the keys from a pharmacy that is in 10 minutes walking distance but I had pre-booked my taxi and it was a hassle to add the additional stop and I would not be able to walk the distance with two luggage.
