Waou Gran Via I - Alquiler Corta Duración

The apartment is great, great location, very comfortable we will definitely come back to stay there if we are in madrid again

The app for getting in to the apartment didn't work for us when we were trying to get in to the apartment for the first time at midnight. As we were 2 girls it was a bit stressful when we couldn't get in, but luckily a neighbour from the building was there and opened the building for us. The fan in the bathroom is really loud.

The property is a good size, clean and comfortable. The apartment looks excatly like it does in the photos. It is located very centrally - in a quiet street but close to the Gran Via and good transport links. Nearby there are plenty of bars, restaurants and small supermarkets for groceries.

The kitchen was not that well equipped. We were provided with an electric mixer (which we were unlikely to need) yet there wasn't a spatula for the frying pan (far more useful). Hardly any serving dishes. No small bowls. The contents of the kitchen need to be reassessed. Also whilst we had good communication with the hosts before our stay, this was not the case when we tried to communicate with them during our stay. We kept trying to establish whether or not we could leave our bags in the apartment for a few extra hours on the day of our departure. We received several unhelpful responses. On the day of our departure I called yet again and was eventually told we could only leave our bags for an additional hour. Had I been told this earlier, I would have been able to make alternative arrangements. I was not impressed by the poor quality of communication from people who are clearly professional hosts.

Liked · The location is unbeatable, many shops etc. around, most points of interest can be reached by walking. The apartment on the 3rd floor is sufficiently big, especially for one person. The doors are secure, the building clean. The bed was comfortable. Noise insulation is good, the apartment is quiet.

Disliked · Like other reviewers, I was irritated by the very loud fan in the bathroom that comes on when the bath room light is turned on. It should be changed. The dining table has stains and is a bit unstable, overall, the living/dinig furniture could benefit of a refurbishment.

the location!! and the kitchen is well equipped!

it smelled as if someone had been smoking in the apartment. it’s aloud to smoke on the “balcony”, but it smelled as if someone had been smoking inside (eg the curtains smelled).

Very good location and well conected with everything. Recommended!
