Apartamento Vista Lobos

This should have been a fantastic break. The property appeared to have everything I needed, but the bed bugs totally ruined my experience. The response from Vacanzy Collection upon my return home has led me to write this review so that people are aware of their lack of customer service. Apparently, this is an appropriate (generic, I assume) email response to send to someone who has been bitten many, many times by bed bugs. "We regret not having met your expectations. We appreciate your comment and apologize for your negative experience. We have hosted many people at our property for many years. This involves criticism and everyone is free to give their opinion. One thing is very serious for someone and the next day another guest comes in and thinks it is wonderful. We expose ourselves to that." Bed bugs - wonderful? I doubt that very much!

There were bed bugs in the apartment. I didn't notice instantly, so I got over 30 bites, which completely ruined my holiday. I had to sleep on the sofa for the first night. It was lucky that I was on my own, or it would have been impossible to sleep at all. I only managed a couple of hours. I contacted Vacanzy Collection the following morning, and they did send someone out to fumigate the apartment, but they didn't contact me to tell me when it had been done, so I was wandering around aimlessly for hours. When I returned home, I sent an email to complain about my experience, and they sent what was clearly a generic email response. (The font used for my name and the last line was different from the main text): We regret not having met your expectations. We appreciate your comment and apologize for your negative experience. We have hosted many people at our property for many years. This involves criticism and everyone is free to give their opinion. One thing is very serious for someone and the next day another guest comes in and thinks it is wonderful. We expose ourselves to that. This was not satisfactory, in my opinion, and bizarre to suggest that someone would think that bed bugs and receiving bites is a wonderful experience! I emailed them again to ask for a more appropriate type of compensation and received no reply. I have raised it as an issue with Booking.com and am awaiting a reply. I just want to warn other people about the lack of customer service. It was a totally ruined holiday, and I still have scars (one month later) from the bites.

The hot tub was main feature in this apartment. Beautiful views from roof top.

Bedding was dirty on arrival which was not great. And the requested coat was not there. So baby had now where to sleep 1st night. Being only 3 months this was not ideal. Both issues were resolved the following afternoon when cleaners brand clean bedding and travel cot.

Property had everything we needed and more.

Needs a little TLC, but that’s reflected in the price. Just some wear and tear issues, could be easily corrected.

We really enjoyed our stay in Vista Lobos.Excellent value for money, spacious, clean and in a great location. Close to the beach and shops.comunication with the host was prompt. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working but maintenance was sent out quickly. It could not be fixed and our host kindly gave us a late check out to compensate. This made our final stay so much more relaxed. I would recommend and will stay again.

I really could not fault the apartment for this price. Perhaps a few lamps for the evening for softer lighting and plates/dishes for 4 instead of 3 but it still was very good.

The property was very well located, yet also in a quiet area very easy to get to restaurants , shops and bars. The apartment was nicely laid out and sofa and bed was comfortable. Good range of kitchen facilities brilliant fridge freezer and use of a washing machine. Very big shower with 2 shower heads. Wonderful roomy terrace with furniture to use and a further top sun terrace with individual sun beds and a double sun bed with a jacuzzi

Was very happy with the apartment. There is no number on the outside so difficult to let taxi drivers know where you were. We got round this by telling them end of Calle san Raphael in Corralejo. San Pal was written on the top of the door. If you need a mobility scooter or are using a wheelchair the apartment is at the end of an outside corridor behind a white gate and you cannot get a mobility scooter up and down the corridor without some difficulty and would need to to charge the scooter. There are 2 flights of stairs in the apartment up to the living and sleeping area. There is also steps up to the top sun terrace.

The property is in a relatively quiet location but just a 5 min walk to the beach at Corralejo Bay and a 10-15 minute walk into the town. It is a spacious 1 bed apartment with good facilities, the absolute cherry on the top is the roof terrace with jacuzzi!

Whilst clean, the property could do with a bit of sprucing up in terms of the decor which is showing signs of wear and deterioration in places. There was no supplies of anything upon arrival, which I have experienced in other properties of similar price, and in my personal experience it can make a huge difference. Even just having some basic supplies which means shopping isn’t the first thing you have to do. Things like Milk, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Bottled Water, Shower Gel as minimum would be a good starting point and mean a higher overall rating

Hot tub chemicals need topping up during stay . Toilet filling cistern had to be controlled manually .
