Historic Building Cathedral

Excellent location, great instructions to find apartment and key, close to many shops and restaurants and beside the cathedral

Upon arrival we opened the fridge to find that there were used items such as open yoghurt and butter but also unused items. It appeared that the fridge wasn’t cleaned. However overall the rest of the apartment was clean

The location is very convenient

There is no lift and TV doesn't have English channels

The view was fantastic, and the apartment was clean and tidy. Great for a city break.

From before we arrived we had some issues finding out information about checking in which was stressful. We didn’t have the exact address either and had to figure it out using google. We didn’t receive the messages, and had to call booking.com a couple of times. Once we arrived at the property we also had to call the host to receive the code for the door. The door in question was very hard to open and we had to both push, would not recommend for someone not very strong. The room was tidy however there was mould and some maintenance that could be improved upon.

Fantastic location.

Missing the feminine touches: no wine glasses...The patio was a yawn. Be very aware that there are 53 steps you must climb to reach the apartment. I have asthma and it was not a pleasant experience and the steps were not mentioned in the apartment descriotion!!

DON'T STAY HERE! The apartment is entered through a down at heel and rough alleyway smelling of urine. Inside, the flat was dirty - the shower was mouldy and the inside of the fridge showed it had simply been wiped over inadequately. The fridge unit door was hanging off, the kitchen unit kick plate was also hanging down and a skirting board in the living area had come away in a number of places. The chairs were badly worn and damaged and a broken coffee table, whose glass top was missing, was propped against the wall. The blind over the balcony door was broken and made opening the door a challenge. Outside, the balcony was dirty, the steps and metalwork were rusty and the artificial turf flooring was worn and dirty. All in all it was significantly different from the pictures online and extremely disappointing. We did not unpack our bags and left. The owner is blocking our calls and refuses to engage in our attempts to get a refund and resolve this matter.

The view from the apartment is amazing! The check in directions were very clear and precise and the host very responsive.

The furnishings are very simple and a bit shabby.

Wow, if you want location, this is your spot!! Sebastian was a great host and helped me out to get inside when I arrived late at night, almost midnight. He also answered any questions I had very attentively. It is literally STEPS away from the Cathedral, in a historic plaza. Endless choice of restaurants and cafes around the corner and great energy. You can walk to most of the major tourist attractions from the apartment and save a lot on taxis/transportation. Rooftop bars everywhere, Flamenco shows, tapas bars, and great street performances out the door.

This was an issue for me but won't be for most people, just that there was a couple of flights of stairs to climb with bags and I hurt my back. Sebastian did make an effort to try to find someone to help but to be fair, I was arriving quite late at night so I understood. You also have to walk a short distance to reach the apartment as taxis can't drive into the main area of the Cathedral. I noticed some noise on Monday, the day I left as they are renovating the basement but these things are sometimes unavoidable and I was up and out of the apartment by the time the construction began, perhaps 9am. Church bells do ring, but again - you won't want to sleep in, there's too much to see and do!! Just a tip for anyone that could be helpful: You have to push on the main entrance door quite hard to get inside. It's a bit stiff but if you push you'll get in! The apartment door is easy :)
