4a Smart Apartments

Good location for attending an event at Newark showground. Central with easy access for grocery shopping, quiet at night for sleeping. Parking was easy. Host responded quickly when I had a query about something and sorted it out for me.

Beds were a bit soft, but that is a personal thing, others might prefer that. Kitchen equipment was a bit minimal but we did manage to cook our main meal in the flat every day, so enough to do what we needed.

The lounge could be made to feel a bit more cosy instead of feeling like you are sat on a sofa in the kitchen

Noisy apartment having a party all night next door had to leave on 1st night due to this although we was booked for 4 nights with no refund

Excellent situation good parking and very clear instructions for our every need.

Limitedcrecycling facilities but that's not the hosts fault but the local councils.

I have stayed in these apartments before, and have already booked again for next year! They are clean and well presented. This one had a better layout than the last. Ideally located, with the main town centre a few minutes walk in one direction and a local co-op and fish n chip shop a few minutes in the other direction. Free parking permit for one, and parking is free on the roadside just up the road for anyone else. Full length mirrors (though not always in the right place!) Large TV and free wifi etc Nice kitchen/diner with sofa.

Always have issues with key safes! This time I got the key out ok on the Friday check in, but it somehow locked itself open and 4 people tried over the course of the weekend (using the opening code) and none of us could fathom out how to unlock it again. Miraculously I actually just managed it with my final try as I was leaving on the Monday! and even now don't know what I did differently. These safes are a good idea in theory, but they are not easy to operate, especially in the dark or if you need glasses to see the tiny numbering, and if you have your hands full of luggage (you need both hands to open the door!) Could do with a freezer compartment in the fridge, and maybe some salt and pepper and kitchen roll?

Location was perfect for what we wanted to do and more. Easy walk into the town centre.

Liked central location, good parking, apartment was comfortable. Lovely note from host.

Shower very poor flow, a bit of a musty smell from sofa.
