The Square

a lovely apartment overlooking the town square. on two floors with lounge / dining area and kitchen, then short flight upstairs to a double, and a twin bedroom and bathroom. Well decorated, immaculately presented. Very grateful for the welcome pack including nibbles and fresh milk. Everything available in the kitchen to self cater if you wish. I used the double bedroom at the back of the flat; it was very quiet and I slept well. nice full bath with an overhead shower. A helpful info pack with FAQs to hand.

trivial comment but I banged my head on the boiler in the kitchen when using the bin. the fact that I did it more than once reflects on me I suspect? The flat is up two wide well lit flights of stairs, but this is mentioned in the details and didn't impact me.

Location as I was exhibiting at the Borders Art Fair so it was just a Short Drive

I booked last year as the location and price were perfect but was notified of price changes for this year- so while we loved staying at the apartment it’s now completely out of our price bracket which is a shame.

Very central to everything.

Only one thing and purely personal,l did not like the openness of the down stairs windows.

Flat is lovely. Very clean. Very central. Although be aware there are 4 sets of stairs to access it.

Being central did mean the bedroom at the front did get a lot of noise. People leaving bars at 12.30sh. The cobbles in the street are lovely however the downside is that while in bed you hear every vehicle going over them. The bin men also were emptying the bins at 6.30am & we heard every bin being done! The next night we slept in the back room which was so peaceful.

Lovely apartment spacious and comfortable, loved the decorated Christmas tree, beautiful touch. The views over the lights in it he square was amazing.

The stairs up to the apartment but, I am elderly and disabled.
