The Square

This is a great two bedroom apartment. Clean tidy and well appointed. Great location in the centre of a lovely town. The apartment is on the second floor so there are steps but worth the climb. Suitable for a short or longer stay.

There appears to be a power shower but it only worked sporadically.

Room only but plenty of cafes nearby to get breakfast.

Excellent location in town center for our week long stay for my work! Parking was too easy in the local area compared to staying in Alnwick on our last stay 6-months ago for work. The apartment was kept warm in the evenings and we had hot water for our showers. We are all about recycling so the trash disposal instructions were easy to comply with. So many pubs and tasty restaurants were a close walk for our location to include a friendly British Legion for us U.S. military to enjoy at night. Big fridge and comfortable couches to relax on.

There are 4 sets of steps up to the apartment flat. If you have physical limitations, this might be a challenge to others. We had no problems as 55+ year olds who drink nightly in the regular. You share the internal stairway with a salon on the 1st level during the week which really didn’t bother us. We had no problems or security issues leaving the bottom door unlocked for their business. The salon owner was very courteous to us as we trotted up and down the flight of stairs during our week long stay. As for the TV in the main living room area, I would have preferred a Samsung style app TV. We had to purchase an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to the TV to watch Netflix and YouTube at night when we chilled out. Not a major negative for the flat but it might help others to have an updated TV.

Very well equipped apartment. Comfortable beds. Good location. Very welcome biscuts and Tablet on arrival. Great 'people watching' location over the square. Plenty of free parking available.

It was a little noisy with cars driving over the cobbled streets but it didn't bother us.

Flat is lovely view over the town square. Very roomy lovely interior . Well equipped kitchen.

Stairs up to the flat but it's well lit we are just older :)

The twin room needs darker or blackout blind.

Lovely flat perfect for our stay in Kelso. Clean, comfy and central position....what more could you want. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

As we were self catering, there were shops nearby.

The wash hand basin plug mechanism was broken when we arrived. As our stay was so short and over a weekend the likelihood of finding a plumber would have been impossible.

Fantastic location and immaculate condition of the flat. Owner very helpful in general and very accommodating to my mistake relating to dates booked.

The second bedroom could do with a blackout blind as the sun rises v early in Scotland in summer.
