Bright Plymouth Hoe Hideaway

The location was perfect and it had good internet.

Parking space was around the corner, and required driving up a kerb. Instructions said it was signposted, but the only sign was an advertisement for underground carparking. We tried to contact the owners via email and SMS and left two phone messages to clarify this was the car park, but got no response. Hallway dirty and smelly. Carpets and rugs filthy. The plastic bowl in the sink is an attempt to hide the fact that the plug and its fitting were broken, revealing a defunct garbage disposal. Towels were very thin, with no towel rail, broken toilet roll holder, tiny basin, nowhere to put toiletries. In short, a very unpleasant experience and the worst out of 14 places we have stayed in Ireland and the UK.

Ideal location for The Hoe and a ten minute walk to the Barbican area. It's great that it has a parking spot even though it's in the next block as parking is an issue in Plymouth. It has the basics for a few nights stay. Owner Lewis made lots of contact via messaging. We cut our trip short due to the atrocious weather and couldn't stay indoors other than to sleep. Waste of a space of the verandah which could make a nice outdoor seating area with a bit of TLC.

Sadly, the apartment is looking tired and grubby. The carpets need cleaning or replacing. Nowhere to hang a towel or put anything in the bathroom, although the shower was good. There's a microwave but not even a jug to fit in to cook anything. Eating out is the way forward.

The lighting in the communal hallway was not working which made accessing the correct flat tricky! and the free parking space was not available, but we were able to park outside the door for £2

Minor things Lighting in kitchen not bright enough. No where to hang or put things in bathroom. Patio area was shameful . Table & chairs unusable and area not cared for . Could be a nice feature and selling point .

Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable with easy access.

Location was excellent - just five minutes' walk from the sea front promenade. The flat was nicely decorated and well appointed, and a quiet place (if you ignore the gulls which are noisy everywhere on the coast!).

No coffee (athough there was tea), and not much loo roll! A small Tesco is just down the road though, so not too much of a drama.

We regularly come and stay in Plymouth when we visit family. Our stay here was just wonderful. Great location within easy walking distance of The Hoe, The Barbican and the city centre. Plus the added bonus of a handy dedicated parking space. The apartment was bright and comfortable, The kitchen was well supplied with all the basic necessities that you might not think about bringing when you are self catering. Lewis was extremely helpful and friendly too 😀 It was also great value for money considering we stayed during the summer holidays. Highly recommended.
