Old Rectory - Scoulton

Beautiful, tranquil, relaxing, clean, spacious, wonderful beds & bathrooms….

Wanted to extend stay but already booked out.

Very nice property, fabulous bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of character perfect for our family stay

We were staying as we had a family wedding nearby. It would be nice to have more outdoor table/seating to accommodate 8 people. We didn't need that as we were busy at the wedding but we would like to stay again and that would then be a requirement as the indoor communal area ie kitchen/lounge are small (this is clear in the description) but better outdoor eating would mitigate that in the warmer months.

the property is quite unique, plenty of space upstairs, very comfortable and plenty of space for 4 of us, very close to the blocks circuit Snetterton which is the reason I booked this place, the cottage felt like home. will definitely be booking again the next time we go to the circuit.

A charming property, nicely renovated, in a lovely quiet location. Relaxed reception, and access to a lovely garden. Basic facilities and most cleanliness all good.

The living facilities downstairs (kitchen and living room), could not easily accommodate the number of people we booked for, as they were too small. One of the bedrooms, although lovely, was a through-space for another bedroom and 2 of the bathrooms. A separate toilet would have been very useful. Some of the beds had dips in the middle - perhaps due to the lack of support under the mattress, or perhaps due to the mattress being old. Some aspects of the renovation were not quite complete, eg the sink arrangement in the kitchen, the 1st bathroom upstairs the shower leaked at times and the fitting under the bath came away. This bathroom could also use some net curtains or Venetian blind or similar as the toilet us right next to the window!

Lovely surroundings

Nicely located in the country, and a great base for going to places in East Anglia. Roomy bedrooms and very helpful and friendly owners. Really nice gardens that you are welcome to use.

The upstairs bedroom area is quite large, but the downstairs area (kitchen and living room) is somewhat small, particularly given the number of bedrooms. Not an issue in summer, when you can be outside, but it's not really somewhere for a large group to spend time together inside.
