I think this little apartment is good value for money, location is on the outskirts of the main town which was nice and peaceful, parking outside of the accommodation was ideal and free!

It’s best to note that this apartment really is quite small, and a bit of a squeeze especially with a little one. I booked a ground floor apartment thinking I’d avoid stairs and lifts with the pram, but you can only access the ground floor apartments by going down approximately 6/7 steps, and no ramp unfortunately. A little awkward if you have a pushchair/wheelchair. I’d say it would be better suited to either a solo traveller or a couple that don’t carry lots of belongings! Generally speaking this property was fairly clean but it definitely needed a little TLC - extractor fan in bathroom was rather dusty (don’t look up!!), drawers in the kitchen were a little stained, tap in the kitchen needed to be effectively fitted, dishwasher clearly hadn’t been looked at thoroughly, lots of dirty water at the back from previous loads which prevented us from using it. Overall, there was nothing major to prevent us from visiting again, but I feel in some areas, it lacked attention to the small details. In no way is this a criticism but I think it’s really important to check the small details before visitors come to stay.

Location is great, apartment itself is a decent size.

The boiler was playing up, and there was a leak infront of it. Both mentioned to the owner immediately but they didn't seem bothered at all. No one came out during our stay despite us saying on several occasions we had very little to no hot water. We scraped about 9 minutes of hot water from the shower over Fri - Sun. The dishwasher didn't work which I imagine had something to do with the water issue so a lot of time was spent boiling the kettle and washing everything by hand due to the lack of hot water. Extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work and is beyond filthy in the ceiling as well. And there was foundation on the bottom sheets of the sofa bed which indicated whoever cleans the place just places a fresh cover atop. Booking.com raised the complaint themselves with the owner and they rejected any form of compensation so be warned. If there is a problem over the weekend you are very much on your own!

It was hard to get the keys as you couldn’t park outside the letting shop. Only thing I can think of.
