Chinley End Farm

My friend and I had a lovely stay here. We were travelling by train and the location couldn’t have been more convenient for us - the station is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and on the Hope Valley railway line. Chinley is a small village, so everything is on your doorstep - a Londis, a cafe serving delicious breakfast (Green Lane Social), etc. The hosts popped by to say hello when we first got there, and them living next door means there’s always someone around to help if needed. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Comfortable set up in lovely location - plenty of good local walks and more available via car, or as we did, via train to sample what both Sheffield and Manchester had to offer. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful, particularly when our car decided to go on strike prior to departure. Overall a lovely, restful break which was much needed!

Not a lot - lounge a little dark so better lighting may have been good?

Brilliant location. Less than 5 minutes walk from Chinley train station, opposite the chip shop and 2 minutes from the Londis which means it's great even if you don't have a car. Fantastic view from the balcony. A comfortable flat with all the facilities you could need. Tea and coffee provided which was a nice touch. A great size for 2 or 3 people.

The attention to detail was a key highlight! Everything worked, everything had been thought through. It was very easy and well managed. Well stocked kitchen was a delight for making breakfast. Friendly polite hosts, with loads of local knowledge. Easily contactable throughout and prior to stay. Clearly very thoughtful hosts.

Great location, stunning walks close by , and the views from the balcony were lovely! The property was well equipped and very comfortable. There was a woodburner in the cosy lounge, though I didn't get a chance to use it as the weather was mild for March and I wasn't in the property much. The underfloor heating was very efficient. The courtesy tray, which included shortbread, was much appreciated.

It was very dark down by the side entrance until the motion sensor kicked in for the light. This seemed quite slow, but may be it was because I walked fast and it couldn't catch up .
