Lilly Pad

Very convenient location in the centre of town with parking nearby. I realised I didn't have the door code on arrival but the host was easy to contact even though it was fairly late when we arrived. Nice to be presented with a bottle of bubbly and thoughtful to leave milk in the fridge. Comfortable and clean.

Personally, I would like black out blinds or curtains on the windows as the light comes in (with the blinds closed) as soon as the sun is up which woke me up each day. No place to put your toiletries while in the shower.

The apartment was very clean and right in the centre of Knaresborough. Although compact it made the best use of the space and there was everything you need for a weekend stay. The bed was comfortable. The prosecco and milk were a nice bonus.

We had difficulty getting in with the code we were given. Unfortunately it was the wrong code. I called the contact number I was given and was then given the correct code.. It was a little awkward as we had arms full of our belongings. Just one other point was that the bath towels were very small.

It was nice to have some fresh milk in the fridge so we could make tea on our arrival.

Incorrect code provided for key box and difficult to open. Had to phone for correct code. Two keys provided for lily pad but nothing provided for Jacobs. We had to sort this with other visitors and share the keys. It was very fortunate that we had not gone out with both keys as both flats used the same key box. Spiral stairs rather awkward to negotiate. Not particularly clean, carpets, shower, dust. Outside area is a pub yard with discarded beer cans and bottles and poorly lit. Only one bedside lamp and power point. Very cold time of year and limited bedding provided. Heating not on so whole flat was very cold. Heating could have been on a timer or switched on low prior to our arrival.

Somehow, pigeons have gotten under the tiles. They kept us awake at night. We spoke to the owner about it.

Very cosy, close to all major sites. Lovely touch with the milk and Prosecco!

A few high-top spots that were dusty and a few cobwebs in the wooden beams. There’s nowhere to hang your toiletries in the shower which made it slightly awkward to shower. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, and I think the batteries needed changing in the remote. Overall nothing too bad.
