Lewes Beautiful sunny flat in the historic town

Not the property - just the fact that the house is on a hill and our car has a dodgy handbrake! All sorted by Julie and her kindness.

A nice place to stay over in Lewes. Our host was flexible about arrival time and very accommodating. A nice set of breakfast supplies were left for us to use which worked very well. Flat was interesting in its layout, but very appropriate for a couple.

Spacious flat with everything you need for self catering. Very comfortable, and Julie the owner was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't have found the 'secret' room, ie the living room and toilet/shower room with being shown... but was very pleased with everything after the discovery!

Possible the velux windows in the bedroom could have done with shades, as the light did wake me quite early in the morning. But it didn't bother me too much as I had to get up early anyway, and no-one could see in. The bed being on a platform was fine for me, but could cause someone with mobility issues a wee bit of difficulty.

Julie is a fantastic host, so flexible, understanding and accommodating. My friend was being delayed and due to arrive very late in the evening so Julie made sure that he could get in the property late at night without any issue. She replied to all my emails swiftly. The flat was impeccable and in a great location.

The location was good, just a lovely 15 minute walk from the town centre.

The layout could be considered nice and quirky if it wasn't so irritating. The shower room is in the lounge and if you're in the bedroom/bathroom, you have to walk through the kitchen to get to it. The kitchen/diner is small with no hobs to cook on other than a portable affair which is kept in a cupboard and plugs into a wall socket. You can't get into the bed from the side. It's on a platform that takes up the width of the room, so you have to crawl in from the end. There are also skylights in the bedroom with no blinds, so you have light streaming in first thing in the morning.

The Breakfast was perfect, The Location was perfect too. The apartment was lovely. Thankyou so much.

Everything. A really beautiful little flat tastefully decorated throughout. Scrupulously clean. The free standing bath in the bedroom is a delightful feature while the wet room/shower is very efficient.

Peaceful, nicely furnished and very well equipped including breakfast ingredients, which was unexpected

Through unforeseen circumstances we arrived very late. The street was dark and we didn't see a house number on the house. By a process of elimination we worked out which house it was and then all was well. The house turned out to be called The House on the Hill - something I had either overlooked on the website or not been informed of.
