Lewes Beautiful sunny flat in the historic town

Excellent location. Walking distance into Lewes was reasonable. Lewes is a delightful and interesting town with lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs etc. visit The Needlemakers - interesting shops and excellent cafe.

Bed was difficult to get into and out of.

The bed was most difficult. There was only access from the end which entailed crawling to the top of the bed, however with bad knees I can’t crawl, so had to wriggle up on my backside. I turned it round for the second night and put the pillows at the foot so there was less distance to wriggle as I could swing my legs up onto the bed more easily.

I night light or motion sensor for the wet room, which is also the toilet, would have been useful as it is an inside room with no light bleeding from anywhere else.

What a lovely warm, welcoming place. A real home from home. A log burner for the winter and a private patio/small garden for the summer. Julie has thought of everything! A truly peaceful location & a super comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

A little further out of town than I thought and yes I use Google maps but Lewes is SO hilly that 1.1 miles took me 40 minutes to walk. But there are buses on the main road, 5 minutes walk away.

The house is just a minute or two's walk to a bus stop to Lewes town center. A quality breakfast basket was supplied with muesli, croissants, preserves, tea and coffee with milk and bottled water. The lounge overlooks the patio garden, has a wood burning stove and a luxurious sofa. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but we only stayed one night.

The bed is on a platform so you get in and out from its foot. The toilet is quite a way from the bedroom but automatic lighting guides the way. Neither was a big inconvenience.

Unless we missed it, nothing was mentioned about the very low level bed. This was quite challenging for my wife and I. We enjoyed our stay

Clean, lovely host and good location.

Log burner was out of action which was disappointing.

Really well appointed - everything we could possibly need. Spotlessly clean. Lovely decor and lay out.
