Lewes Beautiful sunny flat in the historic town

Good site, served by buses, easily walkable to Lewes. Beautifully appointed apartment, very comfortable and stylish. Very attractive private courtyard garden.

My husband has some mobility issues and found getting in and out of the bed very difficult.

Food provided for 3 breakfasts was adequate but measured. Basically small loaf of bread, 4 croissants, 2 small containers of jam & marmalade, small bottle of fresh milk and a good supply of muesli.

Lack of milk and croissants! Basic fittings missing viz toilet roll holder and towel rails. No place for suitcases and poor cupboard space. Bed space was not good with bed in end of room and only way to get in was to crawl over the bed from the bottom. Not suitable for older folk.

Excellent host, quirky fun property

Julie was exceptionally helpful and had thought of everything! Beautiful house with super comfy bed and amazing bath which looked out onto garden. So tranquil and relaxing.

It was aesthetically very beautiful. Julie decorated with an artist‘s eye. The „hidden“ living room and patio were especially charming.

There were not enough surfaces to put things. I had to move a kitchen chair to the bedroom to hold my suitcase while unpacking. There were no surfaces in the bathroom —not for my vanity bag, not even for a glass for my toothbrush. There were also no hooks or bars for towels. The bed was very low and for me, with a slight hip disability, very hard to get up out of. The huge old fashioned bathtub was a charming eye catcher, but since there was already a shower in the bathroom, I would have preferred a desk or a vanity in this space. The small closet with shelves had a broken knob and was very difficult to open.
