Foxglove retreat

I loved the location and all the thoughtful things Bev made sure was in there to make my stay very comfortable. Any questions she answered quickly. Perfect!

This is a quirky little property which served the needs for me on a quick overnight stay with work. It's a great little base. Only small, but it serves it's purpose very well. The room is equipped with most things that you might need, and I had a comfortable stay.

Had a little difficulty finding this placae in the dark. Thankfully there was a local out walking her cat (yes you read that right) who directed me. Once I arrived, I soon worked out where I was going and got the keys. There are a number of signs and notices in the property, and you get the sense that maybe some guests haven't been as fair as others when they have stayed. eg To alter the heating you have to text the host - which obviously you wouldnt do in the evening.

We went our for a cooked breakfast , although the host made sure there was ample cereal, milk and breakfast bars, pain au chocolate snd biscuits , to enjoy.

I am so disappointed with this stay (I travel with my business and stay away weekly). Firstly the hygiene is incredibly poor when you open the door in the garage (yes inside the garage) to the apartment you are greeted with dirty photo attached, continues upstairs. The crockery was no better dirty mugs not pleasant and while the property is described above a garage which I am fine with walking through a garage to get to the property was not what was expected. Then it came to the facilities the microwave is in the garage not the actual apartment so you have to go downstairs into the garage if you want to use the microwave pic attached. Breakfast included the photo in the description on booking.com is so misleading it needs to be removed by booking.com. What you actually get is a few old bars which I also photographed of bars that have potentially been left by many other visitors. All photos were taken to send to family as they couldn’t believe what I was saying since we also stayed local the week previous at a different property
