Apartment close to Pavilion gardens

Great location!

Lovely old building. Perfectly located for walking from railway station and to the Opera House, Pavilion, Pump House, shops and cafes etc. Self check-in. Total privacy and freedom to come and go. Self-catering. Comfy and unpretentious, home from home.

Unlit, uneven driveway and outdoor staircase. We used our phone torches so it wasn’t really a problem.

Good location clear instructions on accessing the property christmas tree was a nice touch

Parking was a bit tight no tea towel or kitchen towel outside lights not working made stone steps a bit dodgy in the dark

Ideal location as close to the centre of Buxton and very close to the Pavilion Gardens for a pleasant walk into Buxton

It was a lovely building. The accommodation was very spacious for the cost and good value as a self-catering apartment, even for just the two of us. It was well presented and very clean. It was a great location just opposite a beautiful park and a stone's throw from Buxton centre and its splendid buildings. There was convenient off-road parking directly behind the entrance. The owner gave very clear arrival instructions, and answered promptly when I had a difficulty getting onto the WiFi.

Just a few equipment quibbles. The fridge lacked a shelf (the one provided didn't fit) so we couldn't put much in it, also its freezing compartment was iced up so I had to take my freeze blocks to where a friend was staying. It was a bit short of kitchen equipment (e.g. no bread knife). A missing bulb in the living room made it quite dark in there, and the small bedroom could do with a bedside lamp. The heating controls were a bit confusing, a manual would have helped.
