Boutique 2BR On Royal Mile - Freestanding Bathtub

The remodel photos of the site, amenities, and location to the Royal Mile lead me to chose this rental. However, after arrival we found it was all smoke and mirrors.

This was not worth what I paid for it. 2 or the 3 TV's were not set up to work, the washer machine/dryer did not dry the clothes, one of the wall heater didn't work. When we arrived it was freezing. The whole bathroom was poorly designed. The shower drained to slow to have a decent shower without flooding the bathroom. The shower stall partition did not block the shower splash so the floor was soaked.There was no ventilation in the bathroom so the whole room and floor had condensation causing me to almost fall twice. The fancy sink was not practical. If the water was turned on fast it quickly backsplashed onto the floor or whoever was standing in front of it. The single flat sheet on the bed was thin, had a hole in it and a black hair under a pillow. The towels felt well used, poor quality and thin. We expected more. We expected better quality all around. Sheets, towels(more of them). Why no wash cloth, no hand towel for the bathroom, or even a kitchen roll? This unit was on the 4th floor with on elevators and down a narrow alley. Bikes in thw stairwell made it difficult to climb with larger pieces of luggage. Then to top it all off, on the day of our arrival being notified there is a mandatory inspection happening during our stay in the apartment. Telling us that we have to leave the keys for the inspector leaving our belongs unattended or be present and miss our prebooked activites. We booked 5 months ago. This should have addressed long before our arrival giving us a chance to find another location or management rescheduling the inspection. We will say we notified them of the TV's, shower drain, heater, and a broken door I forgot to mention earlier and they did come and fix all but the TV's. Probably because it was about to be inspected. This property seems poorly managed with no attention to detail. Have some pride in your property and do better for your renters.

Great location and nice apartment

Both the internet and tv wasn’t working ehen we arrived and had to spent alot of time i stalling both.

Bedrooms were okay but still cold with heating on.

Location, to dark n noisy. Master bedroom wardrobe full of furniture so i couldnt use it.

Apartment was gorgeous and the location absolutely ideal. Facilities all you need for a comfortable stay

WiFi was not the best but this would be the only negative about this stay

the apartment was well equipped great kitchen area and very warm loverly deep bath in the bed room

access to the apartment is down a alley way off te royal mile it is steep and slippy and has 5 flights of stairs to apartment so if mobility is an issue will be a problem.we found it really noisy early hours.the only other thing was the telly's not working after a long day would of been nice just to watch a bit of tv.bathroom could do with a refurbishment

Well located, spacious, good heating

Some cupboards were slightly messy - looked like the cleaning team and hastily put the cleaning items away. Property is on the 4th floor and no lift but this didn’t bother us.

Location was amazing, nice and big for a family of 4
