Market Hill Apartments

The location was excellent, was central for shops,restaurants, etc. The apartment was very roomy and clean, and all amenities were to a high standard. We found the extras supplied by the host, which included, milk tea,coffee,shower gel, ECT, was a bonus

Location perfect for attending a nearby wedding. Parking was a little bit of a faff due to the market on Saturday, but we managed by switching car parks - there are three small ones nearby. Very large space which was good.

Unfortunately the below seem to be items that are mentioned in previous reviews which the hosts have decided not to correct! Some of these issues appear to be in reviews dating as far back as 2022. Beds were very uncomfortable - mattress in the bigger room was sagging badly. The toilet was unstable and wobbly, shower and bath area dirty and covered in limescale (shower head particularly) and the bathroom lock didn't work. We found multiple items of cutlery in the drawers that was dirty and sticky. Furniture was wobbly and some items broken (leg of console in the hallway, wardrobe in big room back had fallen out). Market set-up on Saturday early hours was VERY noisy so please be aware if you are a light sleeper! The flat itself was super hot so we had to sleep with the windows open. No fans provided etc. We were told beforehand about the construction work etc and hallway was indeed dirty but I guess that can't be avoided - but there were loads of cobwebs and the hallway was generally unclean.

The location is ideal. The staff are nice.

The neighbouring flat was being renovated so the outside entrance was dusty.

Property was well set out, kitchen was clean as were the bedrooms.

Stairs to the flat filthy owing to building work, lack of toilet paper ( ran out the first day) Very old property and floor squeak in every room. Bar across the square night club hours..we have early starts the three nights we stayed.

The location of the apartment is good. Very spacious. Decorated nicely throughout.

Although the location was good, it was very noisy with passers by in the town. We had a market setting up early hours of Saturday morning outside our window at 2.30 am. The floorboards in the apartment were so bad everywhere. They were creaking everywhere we stepped. Also, one of the beds had a big dip in the mattress, so we ended up sleeping on the sofa as our backs were in pain.
