Flat 14d Bayhead

The location in Stornoway was very convenient for shops and visitor attractions. The treats on arrival was a lovely touch by the host. The accommodation had almost everything expected for two people cleverly designed into a small space. There was plentiful parking.

The location of the flat as part of a car workshop did not give a good first impression. Although there was a narrow patio there was nowhere in practice to sit outside. There was no washing machine or place to hang washing. The property was overpriced.

Great location with easy access. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect.

Self catering so breakfast not applicable. Good parking .

The property was not ready for us to move into . Still being cleaned when we arrived at appointed time. Living room very small. No essentials in fridge as promised- only 2 beers and some biscuits.

The location is excellent to visit the castle and grounds, the harbour and for gift or food shopping. It has most of the equipment/facilities you could want and is clean and bright. The owners provided some useful staples (+treats!) and were very helpful when I spoke to them with a query. They even offered to provide me with what I needed as British Airways mislaid my case. There are notes provided re the flat.

I didn't know there's a special technique for locking the door which I hadn't come across before. Minor quibble but the TV remote doesn't work very well - might need batteries, bed is bit hard for my taste but some like a firm mattress.

The location is ideal. All necessary amenities are within walking distance. Although the space itself is not so big, the clever design makes the apartment feel very spacious while still having all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Clear instructions for check-in. Private off street parking close to old town and ferry port. Modern flat with thoughtful chips/beer left by host. Thankyou!
