Cartref - Fully equipped and stunning town flat

Lovely flat, well located, good pub across the road also. Steve the owner was a wealth of information, 10 min walk to Shrewsbury, couldn't fault anything. Well done

This flat is very comfortable and well situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury town centre. On arrival it was trimmed for Christmas and a welcome pack awaited which was a nice touch. The bed and sofa are comfortable, the shower is powerful and the decor is tasteful. The central heating thermostat is extremely simple to use. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout and he provided plenty of useful information in advance of our stay. The TV was easy to use, particularly with the informative visitor guide provided. Parking was not easy but we had been made aware of that prior to our arrival. We were able to unload and load close to the rear gate so it did not present a problem. Street parking was available if you are happy to walk a couple of hundred yards. The price point represents very good value

As we were staying here over Christmas we had planned to cook a full turkey dinner on Christmas Day. However, the oven would not come up to temperature no matter how long we allowed it to pre heat. We had cooked 2 chicken fillets on Christmas Eve which took over an hour rather than the 25 minutes we would normally have expected. Consequently we could not be sure that the oven would safely cook a turkey so we hastily made alternative eating arrangements. There isn't enough cutlery for more than one course unless you are happy to wash up while dining. In fairness the owner accepted this constructive criticism as soon as I informed him and vowed to remedy issues raised. We would still book again

The flat was super clean. Steve & Sena had communicated all the details really early on and were answering any messages very promptly. The location of the flat is brilliant. Steve's recommendations of where to eat and go were helpful and we loved having cocktails at the Boathouse & a walk along the river.. We also watched a play in Theatre Severn which was a few walking minutes away. The bed & pillows were the most comfortable we've ever experienced and we both slept incredibly well. The kitchen was well equipped. We thought it was super sweet that Steve & Sena welcomed us with a complimentary beer, G&T and some flapjacks. The welcome pack detailed how to use the heating and anything else in the flat. They literally thought of everything. Very impressive!
