Tide House Seaside Holiday Cottage

Beautifully decorated and location amazing. Kitchen and bathroom were very nice. Bottle of Prosecco left for us 😀

Some condiments in the kitchen and items like foil would be useful.

The property was lovely. It has everything that you would require and is very homely. The owners are lovely and very helpful.

Attic bedroom, we are in our 70s and found the climb to bed quite difficult. Either only a rope banister

Tide House is exceptional, clean, well equipped, fantastic property. Location is perfect.

Perfect location to explore Shaldon, Teignmouth and the surrounding area. Wonderful range of eateries and very friendly people too.This will be our 5th or 6th stay at the cottage. It’s like home from home!

the location is lovely but difficult for older people as parking outside limited to one hour and free parking very difficult to find but once found happy to stay and just explore Shalford the owners were

Parking as above and property on 3 floors which were very steep and not good for old people with bad backs Everything was beautifully clean but no instructions for TV dvd player and any equipment also heating did not come on as it should but contacted the owners who came and sorted it out, they were lovely people and a bottle and chocolates were a welcome gift

Easy access with the key box, it meant we could also leave the keys in the box when out and about. Lovely interior, particularly the bathroom! Lovely upstairs room perfect for our daughter. Heating control was also really nice. Easy to turn off when it go hot but lovely temp control when a little colder. Lovely personal touch with the prosecco, chocolates and welcome note.

Very hard to comment on anything that we disliked as there really wasn't much to comment on. One minor comment we could make is that the sofa lets down the beautiful aesthetic and could be a little more comfortable. However in the grand scheme of how nice the house was this is minor. Could do with a couple of baking trays for the oven (mainly to keep the oven clean) instead of putting food directly onto the racks. However we did appreciate the tin foil on one of the rack trays.

Location in the village, cleanliness of property, ease of getting into property on arrival, good kitchen, beds comfortable. Host presented as approachable and keen to ensure all was well.

main bedroom quite cold, would have appreciated additional heater, not sure fan heater enough for main room, parking could be an issue.

The location was excellent - so close to the sea and all the amenities. The property was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated throughout. The hosts were always responsive and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend staying here.

The only tiny, minor thing I can think of is that we didn't find the sofas particularly comfortable to sit on.

The property is great, very comfortable and in a great location in the village. Good places to eat are within walking distance and walking on the beach is always great.

Parking within Shaldon can be a bit of a nightmare, especially in high season. If you're lucky there will be a space nearby so you can load/unload before you have to move your car to one of the car parks (long term is 10 mins walk away)
