Forest Farm Papplewick Nottingham - Spacious Self-Contained Rural Retreat!

I was staying at the property because I had a couple of appointments at the nearby Park hospital. Everything worked out great.

I cannot praise this place enough! We arrived quite late in the evening after driving for over 3 hours from Gatwick, the directions to get inside were very detailed and helpful. We found a nice cake waiting for us and bread, butter and milk for breakfast the next day. The entire place is super well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, as did the bathroom and bedroom. There’s also a small library, many dvds, board games and brochures of things to do in the area. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. It truly felt like home and we loved it. It’s only a short drive away from shops and Nottingham city centre and also a great spot if you would like to explore the Peak District and other surrounding areas. The owners were very nice and responsive. We will definitely consider coming back!

If I had to mention anything - because as I said we really loved it here, I’d just have to comment that the wifi wasn’t great at times and the shower could have been a little hotter.

This is the best equiped self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. There is everything you need including enough food to make breakfast the first day without having to go out. Oh - and not to forget the lemon drizzle cake - delicious.

The there was one thing that didn't quite get a 100% rating it would be the wi-fi that was a bit weak and continually disconnected.

The cottage had an extremely well equipped kitchen. There was a good choice of games, books and DVDs to watch and the WiFi worked well for the small amount we used.

As very demanding, critical guests, we found everything to our liking and appreciated the gifts left for us. Some hosts think 1 loo roll for 2 people for 3 days is sufficient! We find kitchen towels, bin bags, spare pillows essential, other hosts do not.

Could have stayed longer

Nice space to stay for a couple of night. Kitchen space and comfy sitting area.

Comfortable big bed. Great kitchen and living areas. Everything you needed for our 7 day stay. Our welcome pack was great. Truly appreciated. Wonderful home.

The electric shower wasn't hot. Very cool showers. Big pot holes in long driveway to negotiate. Could have done with an extra towel each for the week stay.

I had a wonderful stay! The house is cozy and comfortable, with everything you need. The location is spotless and perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet, nestled right in the middle of a tranquil farm. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape!

Lovely little cottage. The farm is a lovely location, close enough to towns etc but far enough away that you feel like you've escaped. Hosts have thought of everything and the cottage is really well stocked.
