"Great location, responsive staff, but lack of AC in summer made our stay uncomfortable"

The location is fantastic, with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and Southampton's historic city walls just nearby. The apartment was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, and washer (though no dryer), which added convenience. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the space felt spacious and comfortable for our group of four. Communication through the booking app was excellent—staff were responsive and addressed our inquiries promptly.

The lack of air conditioning was a significant drawback, especially during a summer heatwave. The provided fans were insufficient, and the heat made it hard to sleep. Opening the windows didn’t help much, as the second-floor apartment was noisy at night from street cars and pedestrians, and the outside air didn’t cool the space effectively. Additionally, the en-suite bathroom shower tended to flood, requiring us to pause mid-shower to let the water drain. Additionally, wi-fi is slow.

The location was good and the apartment was beautiful.

There was construction going on next to where the apartment was located and we were awakened up early every morning but by the sound of very loud and noisy jackhammers.

Very good appartment with plenty of room. Its modern and tidy. The kitchen is very good and so are the rooms. It's in the center of the city so you can walk everywhere you want to go.

A really really big downside and the reason for the bad review is the deposit handling. You get an E-Mail from their weird booking system to another platform and have to PAY (not deposit) the 150 £. Handling outside of Booking is an absolut NoGo for me. After the stay it took more than 2 weeks and a request to get to money back. In that time I even thought I got scammed because of the out of system handling. The result was, that I had to pay the deposit to my credit card company, which I get back after a month and in addition had more than 5 € in currency transaction fees on top. Change that system!
