"Beautiful location and cosy cabin"

Loved the fact it was on a working craft and we got to see the animals close-up as they came to visit us

Nothing to dislike

"Great little hut"

10.0

The location was perfect. Half way on a long journey for us. Really unique and friendly owners. Lots of chickens beware! On a small holding with other animals around too. Very quiet and just out of town but close to the coop of you fancy a walk.

Can't really think of anything. Would like to have stayed longer.

"Exceptional"

10.0

We loved the beautiful location with views over the valley and lovely walks. It was such a novelty to have the animals roaming freely around us and our host was lovely chatting to is about the history of how the croft has been passed down through the family. The hut itself is simple but clean and all that is needed with the bathroom facilities right next door. Would definitely return!

"Beautiful stay on a real working Croft!"

10.0

Really peaceful location and easy to find by car. You’re actually only a short walk into Newtownmore which would be handy for evening meals if you wanted a drink with dinner. Walk back is very uphill however, bring a torch too. Stunning views, wee lambs wandering around too. It’s a working Croft rather than a “glampsite” so it’s a nice break, very peaceful and down to earth. I stayed over the solstice, and the blinds kept the light out when I wanted an early night. You have a small basin and camping stove in the cabin, they supply a 5ltr tank of water for drinking/cooking/washing up. I took my own bedding as other reviews suggested, which I was happy with. FYI: toilet and shower are in a separate hut next door, you only share it with one other cabin (occupied by a nice couple when I was there) and it was very clean and the shower was nice and hot.

A dustpan and brush in the cabin to sweep the floor would be great, I tracked a lot of dust in coming back from walks and that would’ve been handy. That’s it though, and for 2 nights really wasn’t that big a deal for me.

"quaint and quirky"

7.0

it was, quirky! we were able to cook which was good!

if I'd known there were only cushions I'd have taken a pillow.... we brought our own sleeping bags but pleasantly surprised to find we could have had sleeping bags provided. extra blankets were there too. it was VERY hot the night we were there, I opened the top half of the door, definitely didn't require blankets that night!!
