The Old Bank Apartments

Rooms are excellent, very nicely put together. Comfy beds, very clever locking system which works well. Facilities are really good. Very clean. Will certainly stay again.

Access via an app was problematic for the older members of the family. Got it working eventually, but was a slight added stress you can do without!

These apartments are absolutely stunning. We stayed in Allure, which has four double beds and two bathrooms. There were only three of us so it was great to have so much space. The location is ideal for anyone coming into Blackpool North station and wanting to stay close to the Town Centre and attractions. It is right next to tram stops, bus stops etc. Supermarkets and shops are only a short walk away, though it was very easy to get some groceries delivered from Uber Eats to the apartment. The beds are very comfortable, with luxurious bedding. Plenty of towels supplied. It's clear that a lot of time, thought and money went into renovating the old building into these apartments, and they really do feel luxurious. The kitchen was well supplied with crockery and glassware, I was actually quite amused at how many of each type of glass there were. I reckon you could probably stay there for an entire week and only need to run the dishwasher on the last day, never using the same glass twice. The cooker is a bit clever but was easy to work out looking at the manual in the provided folder. I like the feature on the TV where you can put your departure date in and it will log you out of all your Netflix, Disney plus etc subscription services. I heard minimal noise from other occupied apartments, in fact, it was only on our third day there that we came across other people and realised that they were there.

Upon arrival, I was easily able to use the app key system to gain entry to the front door to the building. Unfortunately when I tried to open the apartment door, it just refused to work. I rewatched the video to make sure I was doing it right, I tried it every which way, but nothing was working. I didn't have any contact numbers saved in my phone so I went to the website and tried the first one in the FAQ section, which went to a voicemail. I tried again a couple of times and then tried the second number on the website which is no longer in service. This needs to be updated. After trying the first number again, I sent a text message explaining that we were unable to gain access to the apartment. I got a reply saying that they couldn't take calls at the moment but that there was a key safe by the door, so we were able to use a key fob to get into the apartment eventually. I was told when I queried the next day that everything was set up correctly on the app so that I should be able to get in, but every time I tried, it would fail roughly 10 to 15 times before I was able to get in. This unreliability meant that we relied on the key fob, and was therefore unable to be in the situation where more than one person could access the apartment unless we were together. I happened to see one of the owners in the lobby on the second morning and mentioned that I still couldn't reliably use the key app. I showed him all the failed entry attempts logged in the app which stated that there was no connection. After telling me that there was "a knack to it", implying that I was doing it incorrectly, he eventually stated that they'd spent a lot of money on the system and that it could be problematic at times. Given that all the communication I'd had about this seemed to imply that the problem was with me and not the system, I was a little miffed that at no point did anybody apologise for the inconvenience.

Very well equipped, nice and modern apartment only a few steps away from North Pier and in short distance to city center and Winter Gardens, where we were attending a festival. Noise from nearby club was no issue, hardly heard a thing. Also electronic key code system is easy to handle once properly set up.

Location wasn’t too bad

Stairs were a nightmare. The kitchen in the apartment was absolutely filthy. A total health hazard. Everything in the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Could not use the kitchen at all so self catering was out the window. Cost a lot more having to eat out and takeaways that we couldn’t even use plates or cutlery for. Absolutely ridiculous for a luxury apartment as advertised! The apartment was dusty. Dirty skirtings and doors. Filthy fan and coolers. Due to having two autistic kids who don’t like strangers invading their space as in coming into where they are staying I couldn’t report this until I came home. Wish I had booked a hotel which would’ve cost less plus wouldn’t mind takeaways or eating out then. This definitely wasn’t worth what I was charged. Owners an absolute nightmare. Not even an apology. Only refunded the cleaning fee if £96. Cost a lot more to eat out/takeaway 3 times a day for 3 people for 5 days on top of nearly £600 I paid to the owners! Stay clear of these so called luxury apartments. No luxury in these. Definitely not worth the money. Do your self a favour and book a decent hotel. Wish I could add more photos. Hopefully trip advisor will let me.

Beautiful apartment. Someone has great interior design ideas. We only stayed one night but the apartment is definitely equipped for a longer stay and cooking etc

Really good value for money, really friendly and helpful, very clean and had everything you need.

Noise on a night but given the location it's expected, and ear plugs are provided which is a good idea. And the socket in the front room next to the WiFi password needs fixing, it was loose.
