The Sorting Office - Spacious Modern Home with parking in Central Ambleside

Great location in the town and for exploring the Lakes. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed for a short break. Plenty of places to eat close by the apartment. Easy to get access using the key box.

When searching for suitable accommodation parking was important. It says it has parking but there is only one space which caused us problems. Two couples with 2 cars meant time and money wasted looking for spaces in public car parks. Limited hanging space available in bedrooms. We were told that we would be informed if access was available earlier on arrival day but this did not happen.

Very clean , modern , warm and quiet with everything that's needed .

Only issue was mattresses were very firm in beds and a little uncomfortable compared to ours but that's personal preference really . Also showers were difficult to regulate temperature, just seemed to be hot or hotter

The apartment was very stylish with a quality finish. The location was perfect especially having a free parking space. The master bedroom had the wow factor. It was huge with an enormous comfy bed!

The cleanliness (or lack of) was really disappointing. When we arrived I noticed a couple of hairs on the tv cabinet & then I moved to the kitchen area where the floor required a good hoover. The skirting boards in the kitchen & master en-suite were thick with dust & needed a thorough wipe down. The shelf in the other en-suite looked like it had been wiped with a dirty cloth. There were random hairs throughout & the cupboard that housed the vacuum cleaner (which I had to use) needed the floor wiping. I am not obsessive about cleaning by any means but it took the edge off how I viewed the property.

The location was excellent. The living space was nice & comfortable. The bed in the smaller bedroom was comfortable. It was great having en-suite bathrooms and a washer. It was very quiet sleeping.

Messages sent through booking.com were never received after the first msg according to LetMeStay so I communicated directly with LetMeStay. Communication with the property mgr could definitely be improved with turnaround and who responded, we were routed to call centers in the USA twice and wait times were up to 20 mins. The bed in the master bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable as were the pillows, eventually I placed the duvet on top of the mattress. Helpful amenities: toilet paper holder, a little laundry detergent. And the floors in the bathroom and bedrooms needed a thorough cleaning and the hallway table, We wiped them down with paper towels. Checkin should be 3 o’clock instead of 4 - It’s a standard.

The location was superb and quality of appliances and furnishings were high class. Easy parking in the centre of Ambleside. The hosts responded quickly to issues with Wi-Fi.

The shower in the main bedroom was unstable. Wi-Fi network was unavailable.

Everything was absolutely perfect, hopefully coming again next year.

Great location

It could have been a lovely space but the furnishings absolutely spoilt it - basic and quite uncomfortable sofas and dining chairs. Also the rooms were unnecessarily dominated by TV screens. Hated the Alexa arrangement. The showers were barely adequate - alternately scalding and freezing.
