The Old Convent Holiday Apartments

Excellent character building, thoughtfully renovated, in an excellent location. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the local area with great toys for places to visit, walks etc.

We loved The Old Convent. Position was perfect for us as easy to walk into the village. We had a car and it was great to have a central base to come back to each day after exploring. Our apartment had every facility and was always lovely and warm for us Aussie seniors. The decor has kept the feel of the original building with high ceilings and windows and tastefully furnished. Best of all was our lovely hosts , Felicity and Chris. They were very welcoming with lots of recommendations for us to make the most of our stay. We would come again definitely.

Quite a lot of stairs to the apartment then bedroom, carrying up the luggage...but it keeps you fit

From start to finish it was exceptional. We stayed in Apartment 2 which was as stunning, if not better than the photos. Large and spacious while remaining cosy and very comfortable. Everything you needed was laid on. Very comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, great bath and shower and a sofa perfect for lounging watch movies after days exploring. The hosts were fabulous, gave excellent tips of new routes to bike to, where best to eat and drink locally, as well as where to avoid.

For us it has been the perfect place to our holidays. Close to the nice City, nice surroundings and very nice hosts. The charme of the old house with a little bit of today. It has all we need, including nice views of the mountains. We would like to come back.

The bathroom was excellent. The location was great too, easy walking distance into town.

We found the accommodation to be a bit formal for us. We quite like to lounge in the evenings, but unfortunately the Chesterfields were not conducive to lounging. We also found the pillows and bed quite hard.
