Riverside Retreat

What a treat after tiny hotel rooms! It felt spacious and comfortable! We appreciated the washing machine so much!

Maybe it was just us, but couldn’t figure out how to get hot water in the kitchen so had cold water only…used the kettle so we could wash up the dishes. Sad that we saw no one to welcome us or check on us, felt confused about that.

We had a great stay here! We had some questions when checking in and Riverside Retreat answered all our questions quickly! Bed was comfy and we enjoyed being able to stream Netflix and relax in the evening. Perfect place to stay to see Glenfinnan and the mountains in the area!

The shower is barely a trickle, even on massage mode - very low pressure!

Everything. The place is cozy and immaculate clean. You have everything you may need for a night or a long stay. Hands down the best stay in our holiday touring the country and a shame we only had it for one night. We left early to hike Ben Nevis, otherwise we would’ve stayed as long as possible and made the most of it. It truly is a retreat you stay at. Thank you 🙏

Spacious and well-equipped with nice details.

While it is a nice place, the location isn't easily reached by public transportation. No coffee maker, but otherwise well-equipped! The sofa bed was fine for our kids, but an adult would likely find it uncomfortable.

Riverside Retreat is a lovely place to stay. I had quite high expectations because of previous reviews and they were met. The apartment is really well equipped with lots of little extras like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc etc. Our teenage son slept on the sofa bed, which worked out fine. We didn’t meet the hosts, but I wrote to Ilene several times and she was lovely, quick responses and very helpful. The location outside of Fort William was really good. There are supermarkets nearby and a good pub that does good food - The Lochy. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Nothing to not like about the accommodation. There is a lot of traffic getting in and out of Fort William, but that is why it is good being out of town.

well equipped holiday apartment, easy communication with hosts, parking in front of the house

We were 3 adults. Unfortunately, the sofa bed for the 3rd person was not comfortable. The sofa bed in the small dining/living area also took up a lot of space, so moving inside the apartment was a bit cumbersome. I would unreservedly recommend the place for 2 persons, not necessarily for 3 persons.

The owners were very friendly and helpful when we had questions. The location was excellent.
