The Garden Flat, Loch Lomond

Very quiet, comfortable double bed, near to shops ect and plenty of car parking.

The apartment is clean and located on the ground floor. It's fine for a short stay. We stayed for two nights. The heating and Wi-Fi work well. It's a good base for exploring Loch Lomond and the surrounding towns. It's a good price compared to other offers. I liked that I could park on the street in front of the building for no extra fee. The kitchen is quite well equipped.

The apartment is quite small, with no space for clothes, just a few hangers. For me, it's not suitable for a long stay. There are only two chairs in the kitchen, and there were three of us. It is located near a busy street, so there was some noise from cars. Unfortunately, in the kitchen the dishwashing sponge and the wiping cloth were old and already used. These are cheap items, and the landlord should ensure that each new guest has a fresh sponge and dishcloth, in order to meeting hygenic standards.

Easy Self check in. Great location. Clean, tidy flat.

It did go a little bit cold and the radiators in the hallway and bedroom didn't work. But this didnt affect our stay. We just got the blankets.

When we left the property

The photo display very much improves the appearance of the apartment which was really basic and just about ok. The idea that it was a garden flat does not tell the whole truth. Access is via an unlocked front door, where the keys are obtained from a lock box. You then have to carry your bags down a flight of stairs, (we read a few steps!!!) The front door to the flat was at the bottom of the dirty stairs and it then led out to a garden which anyone can and did use. I think it was also a short cut as we heard people using it very late at night coming from the garden going up to the main house. It did not feel secure to me. The bathroom tap dripped constantly. There were no towel rails anywhere. A glass shelf above sink made it difficult to bend over and clean your teeth. The bed sheets had a bug underneath them. A child,s sock was found down the side of the bed and the sheets and pillows were so old that is was disgraceful to be using them.

The floor plan was kinda awkward and the sink was very small that once I washed my face water went everywhere
