The Garden Flat, Loch Lomond

We have stayed at many properties through Booking.com and always try to leave a fair review. The bed was comfortable and all linens clean,pleasant view through window to a lawned area. It’s convenient for Balloch and Loch Lomond. Plenty of parking.

Alexandria was having a festival of litter the day we arrived but that is no fault of the flat it’s a tired town but then again we were spoilt after Skye and Outer Hebrides. Opening the unwelcoming main door and seeing the concrete stair well caused some trepidation. The flat was clean. A poorly equipped kitchen to say the least and the most uncomfortable sofa I’ve ever sat on, only take someone you don’t like with you if they expect to sleep on it. After a day exploring you really need a bit of comfort especially when you reach a certain age. The toilet is in a hall cupboard with an old bi- fold door so if you are shy about bodily functions perhaps this is not for you. Perhaps painting the rooms fresh colours would really improve the look of it.

Flat was easy to find, we had no issues parking outside. Flat was nice and warm and a good shower. Only a 10 minute drive to Balloch Country Park.

Be careful of the towel rail in the bathroom it gets very hot

- Very smooth check-in - Cozy & comfy flat with everything we needed for a short stay - Lots of privacy & nice view into the garden - On the street but very quiet

- Shower weak pressure, shower head doesn't stay properly - The flat had lots of tacky decor & fake plants, which were really not our taste
