Highview House Redcar-Seaview Apartments

Very clean and suitable for our purposes, though we didn’t make use of the kitchen facilities it was nice that they were there, easy to find and good central location

The app to open the main door was a little finicky but that could be user error

A contemporary comfortable clean and well appointed apartment. Ideally located for close access to the beach. Cannot fault the apartment in anyway and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All round it was a marvellous experience. I will definitely be booking a return visit to this apartment in Redcar.

The property was faultless I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like about it.

Location, big TV, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, oven, toaster, all crockery and pans, etc. The owners allowed me to buy missing stuff and then reimbursed me via bank transfer on the same day. Some nice modern features (shame some people have to clearly ruin it/steal things). The owners answered all queries promptly.

Beds weren't the most comfortable. Sofa bed needs a bit of a clean (had a bit of a smell). Not all amenities listed on booking.com are actually there (but again could be down to people staying when renting the place).

The views were the apartment was lovely

The drug users and alcoholics sat on the apartment steps

Super clean and amazing location. The host was in contact all the time and was very helpful. The apartment had everything you need.

Just the amount of stairs up... its not a problem but be mindful if you bring big suitcases. Otherwise it's a cute apartment located very good. There is no parking but I used the parking across the road. You can use the app and pay for the 4 hours that automatically inclu6the day until 8am.

The location was great, very central to the town and had a lovely view of the sea from a couple of angles. Nice kitchen/living room space with good sofa - it was fine for what it is.

There were some improvements that I believe should be implemented to make the stay worth the price. Upon reaching the property, we were able to enter the building with the use of an app but we were not informed which apartment we would be staying in or how to access it - we needed a code which we weren't provided with. Therefore I had to call the building owner to get this information but this should be provided ahead of time to ensure a timely check in process. There wasn't enough cutlery - only one knife for use between 2 wasn't great (also plastic disposable cutlery doesn't count as real cutlery). A lot of the crockery was dirty/stained and we had to clean before use. The bathroom towels were stained and the fridge/freezer desperately needs defrosting. An area of the carpet gripper strip was exposed by the main window in the living room so the spikes were exposed and I stood on this with bare feet because I didn't see it. Regardless of this, this is quite unsafe, especially if children are staying here so this needs fixing immediately. It was fine for what it is, but certainly not worth the price. Call me old fashioned, but a holiday let is only great if someone is there to welcome you and give you a tour round etc. If I knew beforehand that all it would be is an app and code etc, I wouldn't have booked this property and for this reason and the reasons above, I wouldn't return.

Id have felt better if I could have put a latch or lock on the door while I was inside
