Highview House Redcar-Seaview Apartments

I was under the impression that it had a double room and a sofa bed so when I requested the "extra bed free of charge" i didnt expect it to be the sofa bed i already knew we had. Place is unclean and needs decorating properly. There's damp, bits chipping off the walls, windows have condensation in them, doors are filthy, it looks generally run down. Not sea view either! You can see a tiny smidge of it from a couple of the windows! It's location is high street and the worst end of the town! Where no one seems to stop drinking day in day out and its very loud and just scummy in general. Also the only building with front steps so that's where the local druggies gather to drink, take drugs, be sick, get arrested etc every single night and don't move when you go out. Very uncomfortable. Not suitable for families with kids at all. Not the kind of things I want my kids to see/be around. Felt like I was in a nasty hostel can't even believe the price of it. Didnt contact host cos didnt want problems and he couldnt exactly come in and decorate, fix windows or sort the problems outside. My sister paid less at Seaview apartments for a substantially larger apartment which was immaculate! I will never be returning here. Glad to be home!

booked 2 adults and a child . no quilt for child for sofa bed so had to give our quilt which meant we slept with no quilt . so didn’t sleep a wink. noise from pub next door was very loud on top of no quilt . mugs were all dirty with no sponge to wash up so didn’t drink a thing either .
