Netherdale House & The Coach House

All was good

This is our second time staying at this property and absolutely will not be our last! Fantastic place with so many facilities and features in the middle of the shire. The coach house itself is cosy, clean and up to date with all you could wish for, bathrooms everywhere and all so nice! The bedrooms are big clean and nicely decorated. The house has a very homely feel to it with little embellishments everywhere and the fireplace is a wonderful aspect in the colder months. The outside facilities are second to none, the biggest fire pit known to man, what a heat!, jacuzzi, multiple areas of seating including a fully covered area for the ‘Scottish weather’ which allows you to embrace the outdoors regardless of the weather. The huge stacks of wood provided for all these things as well! They really have thought of it all. Secondly the surrounding grounds a picturesque and wonderful to stroll in regardless of the season. The hosts themselves are an absolute delight and we enjoyed our final morning befriending her donkeys along side her. What more could you ask for! We didn’t make use of the other facilities in the estate but we will be in the future as it does boast a variety of other things to do such as a pool. Honestly could not recommend this place more to larger groups or large families looking to spend some time away together. When you go to stay here you don’t want to leave, we didn’t leave the grounds the entire weekend, no need and why would you want to! ☺️There is a Tesco nearby (short drive) for supplies if required, we went fully loaded of course because again, why would you want to leave?

Nothing to report! There’s nothing not to like! Possibly could do with a second fridge due to large numbers of guests (who want to hole in for the weekend 🤣) but there was a shed we could keep our liquids in for cooling so we were all good ☺️.

The coach house was clean and had everything we needed, the owners were quick to respond to my messages.

Fabulous space for celebrating our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. Very luxurious and comfortable. Great outdoor area too!

Coach House, great. Fantastic big dinning room with view, 6 lovely bedrooms (2 downstairs) and 4 bathrooms (2 downstairs) but a slight lack of wardrobe space and mirrors in bedrooms. The jacuzzi and outside area was fantastic but unfortunately we didn’t get to utilise it fully, again due to the rain.

We found Lounge and kitchen quite small as there was 9 adults in our group and spent a lot of time inside due to the time of year. Some nonslip mats for the showers would also be great. Maybe there was and we just didn’t find them?

We stayed in the Coach House for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The rooms were all beautifully decorated and the mattresses very comfy. We especially loved the massive window in the singing area, could sit there all day and look out at the beautiful surroundings. The log fire was a godsend as it was very cold and snowy outside but we were all so warm and toasty inside. The Hot-tub and outdoor fire pit was also great. The owners were quick to reply with answers to any questions we had and even helped book a dinner at a nearby pub. We had the best time and would not hesitate to come back.

We stayed in the coach house and it was perfect for our group! The outside space with the hot tub and fire pit was ideal for socialising and relaxing. Louise is very helpful and the property is very nicely decorated and clean!

Netherdale Coach House is in a beautiful rural location, the property is gorgeous and generally speaking is well thought out. Louise and her family took great care of us, bringing us some extra supplies during a big winter storm, and she was always responsive to queries by text message. The hot tub was lovely, the stove was super, and being able to watch red squirrels through the big window was special.

I think the dining room needs a standard lamp or similar in the corner near the beautiful window as that end of the room gets very dark and the overhead light doesn't reach that far. But we're talking minor details here.
