Lovely flat. Great location. Easy to walk around York or travel by bus or train to eg Scarborough, Halifax etc. The flat had everything we needed.

What I liked about unit 23: * Location is convenient to the train station and within walking distance to major tourist attractions. * Modern and contemporary flat in a gated community. * Cleanliness - overall clean though not not everything was clean, e.g. not all the kitchen dishes were clean (some had food or beverage stains), more below. * Welcome hamper - was a nice and welcome touch. * Safety - I felt safe walking at night in and around the area and apartment complex.

Things I didn't like: For the price of the stay, I expect to at least have decent linen! * Very worn, almost threadbare bed sheets. Worse still, all the pillows were very lumpy and should be thrown away - they should not been used for guests as they are not comfortable to use. The myriad decorative pillows and throw weren't the cleanest and left dirt/lint once lifted it off the bed making the bed look a bit soiled. Bed sheets did not look the cleanest or was stained gray.* Very thin towels - towels I would associate with a 3-star hotel or cleaning rags. Also, given minimal linen - one towel per person. No hand towels or face towels provided so nowhere to dry hands beyond using one's bath towel. * No place to hang wet towels anywhere but a coat stand in the lounge. Would have been nice to have towel hook in the bathroom or in the bedroom to hang clothes or towels. * Noise level - couldn't hear neighbors but could hear some traffic from the streets even when all windows/door was shut. * Small bed for 2 - just a double bed. Would have been nice to have additional bedding to sleep on the couch for more space (the couch was more comfortable than the bed!) * Lack of washing machine - would have been nice to have access to one in the unit or building. Note: washing machine is not mentioned in the ad (and I incorrectly assumed there would be one with a kitchen). * Lack of information on checkout process - there was NO information available on how to checkout even though I used the tablet to reference. It would have been nice to see some printout indicating the process is to lock up and return the keys to the lock box. It was annoying to have to use a tablet to check-in (once you find it hidden on a shelf next to the dining table) - I ended up checking it hours later once I realized where it was - it was not even clear to me where to find the Wifi information which was only accessible on the tablet.

High quality apartment a 5 minute walk from the rail station. Detailed step-by-step instructions to pick up key from lockbox and locate apartment, we found this easy. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack and everywhere was very clean. The bed was softer than we normally like but we still slept well. Super bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. A great find in the centre of the city and within walking distance of all the main sights.

Very well equipped in a fantastic location within the city walls and directly opposite the train station.

If I had to criticise it would be that the grout in the shower needed a bit of a scrub and the window latches didn’t allow the window to be fully sealed (one latch appeared not to be working properly and I was scared to force it incase I broke it)so you got a bit of noise from outside but really these were minor things.

Great location for central York, very clean and well maintained, building really quiet. Lovely apartment, a great option for a short stay in York.

Immaculately clean and tidy, very comfortable. Great location just minutes from both the station and the city centre.
