"Nice enough property but it needs a deep clean to combat the smoke smell."

I contacted the property on my first night regarding the property smelling of smoke, a broken toaster and a mouldy chopping board with snail residue all over it. This was dealt with straight away and a maintenance man came and replaced the toaster and brought a diffuser (although this did not help get rid of the smell). Comfy furnishings throughout property although I can't comment on the single beds as they were not used. Good kitchen facilities, plenty of cupboard space the only thing which was not provided was kitchen roll (so bring your own).

Smell of smoke throughout the property, needs a thorough deep clean to try and combat the smell as a diffuser did not help reduce or mask the smell. I know this is not the properties fault but on multiple occasions people knocked all along the property windows this was not an issue when I was awake. But on my last night I was woken up at 2:30am to someone knocking on my door three times intermittently for 5 minutes and they tried to open the door. This was not a pleasant experience as I was on my own in the property, so safe to say for the rest of that evening I had little to no sleep.

"Lovely apartment in a, not so lovely, location"

Spotless clean, modern and well equipped

The street was very noisy, people shouting & arguing. A complete stranger walked into the apartment without knocking, introducing himself or even explaining why he was there. He was very apologetic once he had realised he was in the wrong place. This was tea time, glad it wasn't at night!! Some place mats would be nice. Pay extra attention to the parking times and Zones

It was spacious, clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Free parking was available, which was ideal. Having Netflix available was a welcome surprise.

"Very upsetting"

Clean

No heating on the Sunday and Monday days and nights - which I reported on the Monday to the accommodation managing company - ‘Scarborough stays’ No hot water on Tuesday - had to postpone our arranged day trip out as we had to wait for hot water to be fixed so we could all have a shower. The manager of ‘Scarborough stays’ rang me up (after I had reported the faults to one of his staff ) and told me I had been demanding for reporting the faults , he was aggressive and rude to me on the phone and asked me to leave at one point in the conversation. I remained calm. He sent the cleaner around who fixed the central heating boiler ( apparently the water pressure in the boiler must have been low). We basically wasted half a day waiting to get showered. I had to rearrange our day trip with other family members. I also had to text message the staff twice earlier in our stay to ask for a dishcloth and an extra tea towel, and bath towels. The manager during his angry telephone conversation told me that we were only entitled to one towel each and said the flat was advertised on booking .com as one towel per person ( I don’t remember reading that). The flat was also advertised on booking.com as having free parking - we had to find a place to park up the road. There were no parking scratch cards available to park outside the flat. The accommodation was also advertised as having Netflix - Netflix was only available if you had your own Netflix account. I just felt like I was having to contact the management company everyday about something. I do feel that having paid nearly £500 for 3 nights stay I should have a refund of at least 1/3 of the cost of our stay. I was shocked and upset with the manager’s aggressive behaviour. I would never book an holiday flat / house again through booking.com because of the way the manager spoke to me - it was very upsetting.

"It was ok"

People was looking through the windows it’s hard to park the street was full .some one had left there dress behind the washing machine draw was very dirty.
