Weather The property on the whole was impressive although I would suggest each bedroom should have a wardrobe. There where a few flaws in decor and finish which meant it did not get an rating of excellent.

Hi We recently stayed in one of your properties, The Fairways, No 18., on the weekend of Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September. Given the 4-star rating and promoting the accommodation as a ‘luxury coastal apartment’ I hope you find the following feedback helpful to ensure future guests’ have a more positive experience. WHAT WAS GOOD · The location was excellent · Spacious apartment · The bedding comfortable and clean · Towels excellent · Provision of soap, dishwasher tablets, and washing up liquid appreciated · TV · Comfortable sofas · Separate dining room

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED No welcome pack with instruction manual for appliances including how to put hot water on. FLOOR 2 Bathroom · Fan doesn’t work automatically and we couldn’t find a switch · Fan is covered in dust so needs cleaned · Shower head doesn’t tilt and the water switches from hot to cold a lot – a new shower would be an improvement · Sink tap is loose · Toilet seat moves around a lot when you sit on it – maybe just needs tightened up · Radiator wasn’t clean to put fresh towels on · Patches of lime scale around the bath – needs refreshed Cupboard in upstairs hall Coat rail hanging off – needs fixed Bedroom with view of harbour It would be helpful to have a plug near the dressing table/mirror FLOOR 1 · Dishwasher had dirty dishes in it when we arrived · Dishwasher doesn’t wash and rinse properly · Cutlery drawer and fridge weren’t clean · Chipped cups – buy a set of mugs · Glasses looking old – need replaced · More teaspoons needed · Can’t lock dining room French windows · Veranda – overall look of neglect doesn’t encourage guests to sit out despite the lovely weather · Dining room chairs need replaced – zero support and you sink into them so much that the wood digs into your legs · Carpet bar is a health and safe issue – trip hazard It wouldn’t take much to enhance this property as it could be lovely again. The bedrooms are all a good size. It’s nice and bright inside.

Just a little improvement would be waste baskets in the bedrooms.

Clean and the view was amazing also ian the bar manager always very helpful every time we visit great Man .

The only big issue was both showers not working the hose on both were leaking and carpet strip into kitchen trip hazard. No coat hangers. And nothing to sit on the balcony also rail is very loose .

Being on a golf trip the location was fantastic being a 5min walk to the golf course.

Unfortunately the upstairs shower had a faulty shower hose which made it unusable. However after reporting this we did get offered alternative accommodation, it was a minor inconvenience which didn’t detract from out visit.

Could have a little more attention to detail I think this responsibility lies with the owner of the property tap in top floor bathroom loose and shower head loose and leaking from the tap , The carpet grip on the kitchen sharp The rail in the upstairs cupboard not attached at one end More coat hangeras there was only 2 not enough for 6 people A welcome pack would be helpful i e contact number if their are any problems, local telephone numbers and attractions and Wi-Fi code desplayed We found rose bees tea rooms lovely coffee and friendly just on the way into portpatrick coos and ewes was a fabulous experience near castle Kennedy Mount Stewart hotel great good especially seafood platter very friendly beautiful decor lovely to sit outside in the sun over looking the Irish sea Saturday a lovely pianist playing in the background fabulous Golfclub has a nice bar serves food open to all and also port Patrick hotel the big white one in the cliffs had a nice bar over looking the sea

Nice location and quite spacious.

No handle for the grill pan. No dishwashing brush. No hot water. Upstairs shower doesn’t work.

Lots of space. Great views. Good location. Comfortable.

Lots of issues with the condition of the property.Patio doors - 1 didn’t unlock which was disappointing. The 1 off the dining room wouldn’t lock and the keys in the apartment didn’t work. Shower upstairs didn’t work. Clock battery not working Upstairs light fitting with no shade and a bulb missing - just looks shabby. No welcome pack with info about property or Wi-Fi et.

Finishing terrible, patched up marks on paint with different coloured paint, looked awful, the utensils were diabolical , there wasn’t even enough mugs for all the guests to have a coffee in the morning, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in portpatrick and for the price of this place,£300 a night should be beautiful,but it was very disappointing, needs a total makeover inside, it’s been done cheap, the decor, the furnishings look like they’ve been bought from the local charity shop, in fact charity shop stuff probably better quality, you really need to up your game, beautiful spot but your need to sort it out, way way of in comparison to other places in portpatrick
