The Fairways

Property had everything needed - a radio would have been appreciated as very limited channels on TV.

Was not aware of only precarious walking path down into town. Would not be able to walk home from town in pitch black as route not lighted. No taxi firms operate in the village and therefore no means of getting back to property unless someone drives. Could not all enjoy a night together as driver needed.

Property was clean and good location in Portpatrick . Well equipped and good bed linen.

The view was outstanding. Very clean and fresh bed linen.

The finishes of the house were poor. The light switches were crazy eg hall light switch in lounge and kitchen in hall. The lounge balcony was rotten and a spindle missing. Very uncomfortable couches. No hand soap or bath mats in bathrooms. Could not switch off radiators in bathrooms. None of these spoiled our trip but would have led to a better review.

Great location, spacious and clean.

A couple of minor things - No mats for stepping onto out of the shower. Both shower screens leaked badly onto the floor. The paint work on the downstairs hall was very dusty and came off onto clothes if you lent on the walls. There was no iron. The coating on the sofas was coming off and stuck to clothing. Clothes drier was broken. Handle inside the bottom right bedroom door was broken, came off so couldn’t close the door properly.

nearness to the beach didn’t say it was down a very steep hill! the service - although it advertised internet, they told us that the passcode in handbook was wrong, and in spite of many phone calls, their own promises and a visit to them in person, this was not supplied and we had to pay for our own WiFi all the time we were there. there were only four teaspoons and six coat hangers. (we were only two people, but the apartment was for six). they asked us to inventory all the cutlery, dishes etc which we took the time to do, but this wasn’t actioned, nor an apology given when we checked out.

no password for internet connection . no connection to television , wires hanging out . pipework exposed in the kitchen . no walk in shower . information pack had little information . unable to book dinner in the hotel each night

as always it is spacious and clean, with spectacular views

only a nit-pic, but there wasn’t an iron or ironing board, nor were there any cleaning items to wash dishes, compared to last year, when there was. slight inconvenience
