Smithy Cottage

Beautiful modern cottage , with great kitchen facilities, lovely location

Everything about the cottage,pub and location were spot on. The local canal gave us access to a great walk on both evenings with plenty of wildlife to see.

The jackdaws woke up too early.

The comfort of having a living room and separate bathroom and bedroom was like being back home but on holiday.

The location is great: next to the Montgomery canal and the Inn. Really good quality furnishings and a kitchen suitable for quick meals. You can park right by the front door. The bed is a king size and very comfortable. Nearby is Powis Castle, not to be missed. Very friendly owner/managers from the Three Horseshoes.

The TV took a while to master. I didn't see any instructions. The Wifi was slower than mobile internet.

Very clean, well equipped, proximity to the pub which served good food.

The bed was a bit firm, but that's a matter of taste. There was a creaky door moving with the breeze - I couldn't locate it inside so I thin it must have been outside, but some WD40 would solve it.

Lovely little cottage in the grounds of a very friendly pub. Perfect base to explore the area. Very well equipped kitchen.

Very comfortable and just what two of us needed for a short stay for a wedding nearby. Proximity to the pub!
