Honeysuckle in Crayke YO61 4TE

Good location in nice village, really good pub opposite. Accommodation cosy and well suited for 2 people.

Hot water not working, contacted host who arranged someone to fix, which sorted it initially then stopped working again before leaving. Lack of basic essentials provided e.g. no Salt and pepper, tea or coffee. Oven needs a clean.

Fantastic location in the village of Crayke. Lovely cottage. Plenty of room and character. Comfortable bed.

Heating only worked in the bedroom. Towel rail only switched on once randomly. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sinks for whole stay. Took over 24 hours for anyone to answer our messages. No extras - would be nice to have some shower gel and tea at the very least.

We loved the location. It was ideal for our trip to travel to various places we needed to while we were there. Easy enough to get to the park and ride into York. The apartment itself was compact and comfortable with everything we needed to complete our stay. It was clean and tidy. And a big plus that it was dog friendly.

We would have liked a little bit of information regarding how the heating and hot water worked. Took us a while to figure it out. There was no pull out bed available but even though I had booked for three people. However I probably should have confirmed that beforehand. Having said that my daughter who is 12 was happy to sleep on the sofa. Also the parking was limited and we felt bad parking outside neighbours houses although no one complained.

The cottage itself was lovely, very cosy. However, we had no hot water and it was freezing. I had to call on ChatGPT as I've never seen a storage heater in my life. I also had to override the water on the timer thing in the boiler cupboard, but once they were sorted it was fine the next day. The pub opposite is canny, especially the bit down the side where all the flags are, I can't remember its name.

Nothing really. Very quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had was that neither Just Eat nor Deliveroo deliver hear butbit was fine, we drove 5 minutes to Easingwold and got fish and chips.

Superbly located for sightseeing and in a beautiful village. Great pub across the road. Cottage had all we needed for a short stay.

Loved the apartment. Ideal location. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again..

Nothing to dislike at all.

The property is fairly well laid out, all on one level, and the bed was very comfortable and clean. Despite being beside a reasonably busy road, the cottage was quiet. Crayke is a nice village, with fantastic views from the top of the hill (a short walk up from Honeysuckle), and within easy driving distance of York.

Some items (e.g window blinds & kitchen bin) were broken. The kettle drips badly when pouring, due to a buildup of limescale. The blinds in the kitchen are very dirty. The shower tray is cracked. The property had been cleaned, but not in great depth, and there were cobwebs here and there, as well as dust and grime on some horizontal surfaces. While much is good about Honeysuckle, it needs a good clean, and the broken items need to be replaced. As it is, I would describe it as "tired".
